This is an update on the family I was trying to help who were poor and all 8 living in a one bedroom apt....
---I was feeling sad today, as the school offered help to the parents in any needs they had. Since I did not speak Spanish it was the best way to do it...I was told.
The parents came to the school so they could speak Spanish to the school liaison.
They said they don't have room for anything--- as their place is too small.
My guess is they were embarassed by being called on the phone.
I ask that God would provide a way to get the few things I had for them thru my neighbor. Some clothes, a thin small futon, and a little toy bike for the one year old child,

Lord, please be with this family as dagmarharris tries to continue to help them. Be with them and with dagmarharris. Bless them all and help them through this challenge in their lives. Help the family so that they will soon be able to provide for themselves without undo fear or difficulty. Keep their tongues civil with one another, and let them respect one another's feelings and understand the differences between each other. I pray for this in the name of Jesus Christ, Our Savior.

Father,
Often we don't know how best to help someone. We don't even know how to pray or what to ask sometimes. But we know that dagmarharris has a sweet spirit and feels compassion for this large family living in such a tiny space. We know that it is Your will for us to help those who are in need. Lord, guide all of us so that what we do is in Your Perfect Will. Thank you for this sweet woman's gentle spirit and loving heart and for everything she has tried to do to help.
Lift up the family so that they can receive help in the spirit it was intended. Give them resources that will be a blessing to them, and help them to see YOU more clearly in these compassionate efforts.
All honor and glory are yours, Father.

Thank you all for the prayers. I gave the futon to the teacher I work with for our class. I also gave the nice cooking pot to the mom of the actual child I work with who has special needs.
I think it was a lesson for me to see that I must be sensitive to what God is doing. He will show me the best way...
