magdaleine -> RE: Bug Report (5/2/2005 12:55:58 PM)

I never log in through anything other than Crosswalk. Once I realized what was happening (because I clicked on the links that took me to christianity.com), I began to watch where the link was from. If it's from christianity.com I don't click on it but instead enter the thread through CW. Still, I'm getting links to christianity.com.

Fritzpw_Admin -> RE: Bug Report (5/2/2005 3:49:31 PM)

Yea, I'll copy the stuff after the .com/ and paste it into the browser that I'm using for forums that way I stay in just one URL.

humbleinspirit -> RE: Bug Report (5/2/2005 6:09:45 PM)

Hi Maggie, I could be wrong, but I think Fritz meant from the last person who posted is where the email ends up from instead.

magdaleine -> RE: Bug Report (5/2/2005 8:10:45 PM)

I hope not!

Abbreviated -> RE: Bug Report (5/3/2005 9:27:19 PM)

Went to post since last visit. Clicked on subscribed threads since last visit.

When window came up I opened 4 new windows. The 3rd one gave me this error message :

Just refreshed window & the correct thread came up.

magdaleine -> RE: Bug Report (5/24/2005 12:08:39 AM)

I received the following link in my subscription e-mail: http://fcnforums.christianity.com/fb.aspx?m=133151

When I clicked on the link, the page I landed on had this message:

quote:

Access is Denied.
You either don't have the right to access or have attempted to access private area.

Please login with sufficient credential or click here to go back to forum's home page.

I switched "fcnforums.christianity" with "forums.crosswalk" and hit enter but I got the same message.

The title of the e-mail is: "Subscription: My Avatar doesn't show! - by LumpofClay | Feedback & Information"

So what happened when you logged in?

Ms.O -> RE: Bug Report (5/24/2005 6:05:00 PM)

Three things:

1) After reading all the new posts in My Subscriptions, I will sometimes then go to another website. When I return to Crosswalk and select My Subscriptions, it shows some as unread posts, but they are ones I already read or even I was the last poster in. I hit refresh and it doesnt change it. I have to either totally log out/log in of CW or go to All Forums and select Mark all as read.

2) Is there a way to search withing a topic? I wanted to search this topic to see if the above question has been addressed, but didn't know how to do it.....

3) Also, will posting in a topic EVER subscribe you to it? I'd love that feature to work......

Thanks.

it's working now Ms. O. You have to check the e-mail me button, but it the e-mail part of the sub process isn't working correclty right now, so you won't get the e-mails.

Not sure I understand....what "email me" button? I NEVER want to be emailed anything (even when it is working correctly)...but I DO want to be subscribed when I post in a thread.....

christsstar -> RE: Bug Report (5/24/2005 6:33:33 PM)

the "Notify me via e-mail when someone replies" check box will auto sub you to a thread but it won't send you e-mail.

Ever? Or just because it's not working correctly? If it's the second, then it's still a bug of sorts.....

There should be an option that works that lets you subscribe to a thread you post in, but NEVER sends you an email, imho.

christsstar -> RE: Bug Report (5/24/2005 6:40:43 PM)

well .... for now that's the only way to autosub. I think the subscription bug is beign worked on.

I experience this all the time as well, I just couldn't figure out how to say it. Thanks, Ms. O!

When I switched to "forums.crosswalk" I WAS logged in, which means the same thing happened whether I was logged in or not. (At least I'm pretty sure I was logged in at CW. [&:]) Sorry for taking so long to answer. I was away for the Canadian long weekend and today was the first chance I've had to respond.

magdaleine -> RE: Bug Report (5/25/2005 1:28:53 PM)

Yes. I just tried it now, double checked that I am logged in. I get the same message. Besides, one doesn't need to be logged in to READ threads, just to post. I've often read my subscriptions from the e-mail links without being logged in and had no trouble. This message implies that the thread is private.

Nevermind. The post was removed.

magdaleine -> RE: Bug Report (5/25/2005 4:47:11 PM)

Oh! So THAT'S why I couldn't access it?

leah777 -> RE: Bug Report (5/26/2005 4:16:22 AM)

I have checked the option to auto subscribe to threads I post in, but that is not working -- hasn't for the last 3-4 weeks. Is this a bug that's been mentioned before?

Fritz...don't mean to push you, but did you catch this question? I know you are just sitting around waiting for people like me to bug you....HA!

Thanks for all you do!!! I miss the Fritz-Cam!!!

Fritzpw_Admin -> RE: Bug Report (5/27/2005 11:58:57 AM)

1. Tracked read messages is a known bug and has been in the known bug list for quite awhile.

2. Fritz cam is at the bottom of my signature.
