Ooohhh, those look familiar!
I got several of those just this afternoon...I just take them as a "notice" that maybe I have been online too long.

Ok, I was clicking on the last post on a thread (the arrow all the way to the right on the forums front page)....it took me to a totally different thread, and the person who made the post wasn't the person who made the post...
weird!

Edited for clarification:

To be precise, I was in the Home & Garden, the thread Yard Sale Tips showed a new post so I clicked on the arrow to the right to take me to the new post, it took me to Relationships and the person it said posted wasn't the one who posted.
On the main forums page it also showed this person had posted last in that Yard Sale thread, but when I clicked on it, it also took me to Relationships.

That sounds really strange!

Kim, that happens when a member tries to post a message and gets a runtime error. For some reason the system shows the post was made when instead it didn't. So what happens is it takes you to the last post made in the entire forums.

because it couldn't figure out where the post was (that didn't 'take') so it took you to the last post that was made in the system. it just happened to be in relationships. It's happened to me a few times

I think it's weird too, especially when you add the twilight zone music. (thanks Lisa)

Your welcome. I was wondering if anyone would notice that it was there.

I just noticed that if I click on "Next Unread Subscription" on one window when I've already viewed that thread in another one (so there's really no new subscribed posts), it gives a Runtime Error.

Yeah, that was what I was trying to describe earlier. I am hoping that Mark will have it go automatically to "my forums" instead.

There's another solution to that.

Don't use another window OR click on MyForums instead of next unread subscription.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Usually I use the Subscribed Threads Link, but occasionally I use the new Next Unread Subscription link. And I'm addicted to tabbed browsing.

I hardly ever use My Forums.

But anyway, I just wanted to point it out in case it was an unknown scenario. Not much skin off my nose.

My subscribed threads -new threads bell seems to have stopped working. I know it's not this 'puter, because other sounds work. I also checked my profile, and I didn't accidentally check it to be off.

***Incoming Message from the Big Giant Head ***

I'm getting a new error I've never seen here before. Everything on the page loaded fine, but in place of the banner and sidebar sponsor ads, I got this text:

System.Net.Sockets.SocketException: Only one usage of each socket address (protocol/network address/port) is normally permitted at System.Net.Sockets.Socket.DoConnect(EndPoint endPointSnapshot, SocketAddress socketAddress) at System.Net.Sockets.Socket.InternalConnect(EndPoint remoteEP) at System.Net.ServicePoint.ConnectSocketInternal(Boolean connectFailure, Socket s4, Socket s6, Socket& socket, IPAddress& address, ConnectSocketState state, IAsyncResult asyncResult, Int32 timeout, Exception& exception) --- End of inner exception stack trace --- at System.Net.HttpWebRequest.GetResponse() at Engage.ad.CreateServerAd(String area, Int32 x, Int32 y, String position, Int32 vspace, Int32 hspace, String type, String querystring, Boolean AAMFILL, String format, String UserHostIPAddress)-->

I'm running Firefox 2.0.0.10, and had the error message appear twice in the span of about 5 minutes. I login through FCN.

Edited to add that it's happening quite a bit now, but isn't consistent.

I clicked on:
http://forums.crosswalk.com/Utilityfielder's_Dugout/m_666393/mpage_112/tm.htm#2870089

And got:

Server Error in '/' Application.
________________________________________
Runtime Error
Description: An application error occurred on the server. The current custom error settings for this application prevent the details of the application error from being viewed remotely (for security reasons). It could, however, be viewed by browsers running on the local server machine.

Details: To enable the details of this specific error message to be viewable on remote machines, please create a <customErrors> tag within a "web.config" configuration file located in the root directory of the current web application. This <customErrors> tag should then have its "mode" attribute set to "Off".

<!-- Web.Config Configuration File -->

<configuration>
<system.web>
<customErrors mode="Off"/>
</system.web>
</configuration>

Notes: The current error page you are seeing can be replaced by a custom error page by modifying the "defaultRedirect" attribute of the application's <customErrors> configuration tag to point to a custom error page URL.

<!-- Web.Config Configuration File -->

<configuration>
<system.web>
<customErrors mode="RemoteOnly" defaultRedirect="mycustompage.htm"/>
</system.web>
</configuration>

I've been having problems with the curser jumping from the password field back up to the user name field when typing in my password, causing some of my password characters to show up in the user name field and causing an login failed error message if I hit enter before seeing that it did this. I've tried to enter my password more slowly, but it still does this. I've had to change passwords several times because of this, so what can I do to stop this from happening?

BTW, I come in through CrossDaily portal.

Make sure you wait for the page to finish loading before typing in stuff like that.

I frequently get this also and I, too, am running Firefox.

I had some trouble with forums last night. Twice in an 1 1/2 hour period, my browser locked up and disconnected me from the internet while I was logged on to here. The first time was while attempting to read Brooklyn's Blurbs. The second time was when I was trying to post in another thread, (don't remember which one). Is this a problem with the forums, or could it be my ISP? I have IE 7.
