Kimberly, I will for sure be praying. It wasn't all too long ago I was in the same boat as you. I kept trying to keep my trust in God but it just seemed so hopeless and discouraging. I know there's nothing I can say to make it any easier....I know people tried when I was going through it and really nothing helped. I just had to go through it and keep trusting Him. I pray that through this you would sense His presence and know He will provide. I am sorry you are having to go through this rough spot and I am praying for you.

Many of you prayed for the safety of those in Ike's path. If you aren't already, please be in prayer for the recovery period--for those able to provide relief and support, for the safety of those who face harm through physical labor, for those facing everything from inconveniences to serious loss, for brothers and sisters to show Christ's love through their selfless efforts, for those needing Jesus whom God might save through this disaster...
My mom was helping some friends today in the town where I grew up. She described one subdivision as resembling a refugee camp...For years (me: 3-17 years old), we lived approximately 100 yards from the bay. Mom drove past our old house. The two bedrooms in which my brother and I played and slept are no more. This includes the brick exterior of that portion of the house--and that house is in better shape than many others along the Gulf Coast.
Would you also be in prayer as to how you can support people in this area? Many options exist through which you and your churches could help. You can PM me if you'd like more information.
Just something for you to consider prayerfully. Thank you.

I will continue to pray Shemaromans.......
Please also keep Rach in your prayers........her home is one of the places which looks like a refuge camp.......everything has water damage and the bedrooms and one other room were completely destroy.
Though her job was suppose to start up again today she has no place to live close enough to drive to work...(she is staying 2 hours from her home)
She has decided to quit her job and try to find something in the town where she is staying........
Please pray she and the girls can find a home there and that Rach can find a job.
Please pray as well that she will be wise in seeking God's direction and decisions based on His will and not her own.

One of my roommates had a severe asthma attack in result to an allergic reaction she had in meds she had to take for testing at the dr's office today. She got rushed to the hospital and will be okay, but we're not sure if she'll have to stay overnight. Pray for a speedy recovery!
Update: They allowed her to come home last night and she said she felt like a mac truck hit her (today she says it only feels like a car hit her). It apparently got extremely serious....the dr mentioned pulling out the paddles and that was enough for my roommate to increase her heart rate. lol. Thanks for your prayers. She's still recovering but talking much more coherently today now that she's not all drugged up anymore.
