I know Wild Turkey is bourbon, but I was thinking that they literally meant wild turkey, as in, having feathers on it at some stage.

I have eaten wild turkey, and you really have to work on it first. I rinse it in vinegar, that helps with the gamey taste, and I marinade it overnight in the fridge. When I roast it, I mix the herbs with melted real butter and olive oil, as the wild birds have little fat on them.

Good afternoon Ray, Trish and Lori I am setting in acoffee shop on a nice sunny afternoon. Hope you all are doing well. I have eaten wild turkey before, and it is all very dark meat, very gamey.

Hi Trish, Lori Ray and everyone. I have made it back home amidst some really wierd weather for late November, thunderstorms and tornado warnings. Most of the current tornado warnings are to the east of me (and going in that direction). But they are other storms forming south and west of me and heading in my directions. I had a good time in Wichita visitng my mother, sister and BIL. I also did some shopping, went to an art gallery walk and went to the Botanica Gardens Christmas display. Lori, the exhibit opens December 7 for two weeks. I have to matte and frame the prints this week and turn in this weekend.

Good morning Rachel, Are you and your children over the illness that you had? Deserts are my specialty for pot lucks and group dinners. It is back to work and into winter.

Yep... we are done being sick... there are remnants, but we're done! Both of the little girls tried to convince me that htey had fevers this morning and couldn't go to school! This mama knows better! Trish, I took 2 peanut butter pies and 2 chocolate chip (R8chel creations) pies.... two of them got sent home with Doer's sister's family!

Hey Gary! Kristen would love that pie. I have never seen anyone love peanut butter like she does. She even makes peanut butter smoothies
