So as long as he punches out for these breaks.

Hey everyone! John and I had our first Sabbath in awhile so we were away from the puter. It was a great Sabbath day.

Ah yes Mike, I know your broadcasting dreams. Have you ever thought about making a music blog for fun? You could have songs on your page and then "talk" about the music scene. I think that would be cool!

I am much more a radio person, I would much rather talk about that aspect instead.

Gee ladies....I wonder why?

I really need to get into an exercise routine again. I've decided that I want to cancel my gym membership. We gotta save money. I have the room at home now to workout so DVDs here I come! I think I'll start off with some basic aerobics, then ease my way back into pilates and THE BALL. lol

Tonight we are having chicken lau lau. Instead of lomi salmon, I think I will just have tomatoes.

Questions of the day...

1) Do you manage to incorporate exercise in your routine and how do you do it?

2) Have you ever been to a luau? If so, what is your fave food?

::

I saw a very nice Hannukah card at Hallmarks. Very pretty. This year, John and I are going to try to give gifts (maybe just cards to save money) during Hannukah instead of Christmas. Hannukah is the one time when Jews gives gifts to each other. I plan to read the book of Esther again and learn even more about this celebration. It's amazing how every celebration or Feast is also a celebration of Jesus.

Uhm...Esther is about Purim, not Hanukkah. Hanukkah commemorates the miracle of the oil during the Maccabean war, which happened between the Old and New Testaments.

Hanukkah is also known as the festival of lights. Traditionally it was not a big celebration but became one to compete with Christmas (for lack of better wording).

Yes. It's not one of the major Feasts that was commanded.

So to answer my own questions of the day...

1) Right now I don't incorporate exercise but I want to. I wanna feel better and look better.

2) Yes. lol! My fave is fortunately kalua pork. I try have kalua chicken instead. I also like lomi salmon and poke. Heck, I like it all. lol

After the lau lau tonight, I am also making making homemade turkey sausage for chili this week. I'm gonna also freeze some to eat for breakfast sometime. I am also simply baking some chicken with essence rubbed all over it.

Yup, the chicken version is good too! I am sure you can make it the same way with just some Hawaiian (or sea) salt and liquid smoke. I would say dig an imu but that would take forever! lol

Thanks Deb! See? You CAN express your views without actually talking about a candidate! Hehe

To whom it may concern.

In regards to my esteemed wife's questions..
To question number 1. I do exercise my mouth on a regular basis.
2. I gladly accept pretty much anything served at luaus.
I do hope this is of great deal of assistance.

1. Exercise? What is that? Oh, yah, this machine that takes up space in my living room can be used for exercise. I forgot.

2. I went to a luau during my honeymoon. I do not remember what was my favorite food. I just remember when they brought out the pig I said, "Poor pig, why did he have to die?" and then Matt shooshed me. That and I remember the fire dancing people, and being slightly cold in the breeze.

Oh, and I had a luau for both my 30th and 32nd bday parties! I couldn't tell you which was more fun, though. guess I'll have to have another one at 34 at this rate. lol Dole whips will be served at that one. Then 36....38.... sheesh I'm getting old!

John you are such a dork. lol Yeah, the exercise he gets is eating my food.

Betty you sooooo have to get here to have a luau girl. I should take you to PCC one day.

Hey Cath! Yeah...we now have a fire dancing contest every year. I wanna see that. I bet it's fun!

How funny is that Jill. And the Hannukah section is so small compared to the Christmas section.

::

My palm near my thumb is sore. You know how to pound garlic with the side of your knife? I did a whole bulb and now it's ouchie. But my homemade turkey sausage is marinating. So many spices! It should be good. Especially with 1/2 cup of garlic in it. Buying all the spices can get expensive but it's worth it though. It healthy to cook with lots of spices and I'll be definitely using them a lot.

Question of the day...

What was the wierdest dream you ever had?

I had a dream with like a million ducks. Like ducks of all sizes. Some were flying other were wading in the clear water. There were so many you couldn't move for them all.

That IS strange Terri!

It's probably being discussed in Current Events but how interesting this news is...

Fox News Article

What VP candidate wouldn't say this about his own P candidate unless it was extremely crucial?

john kerry joking mccain needs adult diapers
dem chairman dean: "there should be tax increases"
murtha says western ps ia "really redneck" and "racist"

And I actually agree with Biden. lol Obama is very vulnerable, hence making America vulnerable.
