Maybe she is involved in pro-life organization or is part of her job.

My whine. I need to lost 20 lbs in 7 weeks and take two major tests by the end of the year.
Results would be I win Biggest Loser at work and rake in cash and recognition and passing tests I get a promotion.

I don't know if I got the right stuff to do both. Ok. Signing off now and headed to the gym.

Just kidding, but I am not kidding about this: I will pray for you, and I hope that you find some things to cheer you. Bless you.

Thanks Sista' friend!!
You just cheered me. And what's funny is... that (Buck up, woman...) is exactly what my blood sister would say! Too funny!

Much love to you!!

RatS!
I went over to read your PM, saw that my PM box was full, erased a bunch of stuff, and accidentally erased your PM! Waaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh!

Why are you getting hate emails and voice mails?

I work for a ministry who sent out an email pro McCain/Palin - we caught a lot from it ---- PRAISE GOD, I just don't get how folks call themselves Christians and say what they say... and yours truly is the front man. We were contacted by the Obama campaign and several other various watchdog groups - they were nicer than the 'Christians'.

Abiyah - I read in a thread somewhere that she would be out for a couple of weeks.... haven't heard from her either *sniff sniff*

I suppose we had better whine about something. I'll whine because . . . rats. Can't think of anything.

Oh! How about this: I put my building on partial watch, because a woman with issues, whom I had never seen before, came to my work and waited outside for me to leave the building last night. She was much bigger than I, taller, and younger. I stayed inside the building, waiting for her to go away, but she just settled down, made camp, and stayed past dark. She poured salt all over the area and stairs she sat on, in order to "purify" it, she told my rescuer.

My rescuer -- when my boss got wind of all this, he came down to tell her to move on. She wouldn't move -- sat out there and talked to him, protesting his order to go on her way, for a good 15 minutes. Then, when we thought she was gone, I left the building, only to have her come around from the alley and cross my path directly, to get a look at me. She seemed to be going on, then she turned around and started pounding on the passenger-side window as I was trying to drive away.

wow abi- that IS something to whine about. I think I'd have a rescuer to escort me in and out for a while. We have a gal in my Photo II class at the college that is a high school student doing concurrent enrollment- She is a real sweet heart. Sadly one of the guys that I "wondered" about early on in the semester has taken her kindness as interest and asked her out several times. She has been nice about saying no... but got tired of it and went to the student lounge with him and sat down and told him she was not interested in a boyfriend or dating. She should not have done lunch with him- even to tell him no. He started waiting around after her last class to walk her to her car. She got a gal in class to walk with her hoping he'd stop but he did not.

none of this came to the surface til the prof was asking me why he kept coming to class- He had not turned in any assignments after the first 1. I had over heard him ask her out the one day. I mentioned it. the prof freaked and said I hope she said NO! Then pulled her inside her office and it went down hill from there. We had one guy in the class offer to bust him up- not a good deal. Another offered to meet her after her last class and walk her to her car- the rescuer you know. He is engaged so the guy would KNOW that it wasn't "like that".

The rescuer reported that he was waiting outside her class and walked her and her friend to their cars and never saw the other guy. Other guy has not been in class since. I guess I should also say that the day it all came out he was not in class so he did not KNOW that every one KNEW he was more or less stalking the gal... unless someone tipped him off. the first guy(the one offering to break his face) might have.

Thing is the guy "stalking" is not 100% there ya know. I think the gal knows that and was trying to be nice about letting him down. it is sad. Anyway- the gals HS Principal has been notified. Her on campus counselor has been notified, all her teachers have been notified. She feels like a spot light right now. EVERYONE over 30 on campus is watching out for her.

I am a pastor's administrative assistant, and the stairs she made camp on were the stairs to a preschool we have in the building. Fortunately, all the students and teachers had left, and the children have the day off. When the head-teacher came this morning, I let her know what happened, so she will be on watch for her.

Thank you for the prayers!

That's creepy... but not unusual. My husband and I have had things like that happen.

Ezri -- I just now saw your note. I get it. When I was in college the last time, I had a similar stalker. The L-rd watched over me Big Time with that guy. Poor girl! What a think to have to put up with.

Yeah, only you were likely college aged. this girl is either a junior or senior (16, 17, 18?) in highschool, she is taking a few classes at the college for dual credit. Poor thing- I cannot imagine if it were my 16yo. a few years = more experience and better ability to handle such situations.

Oh, for good night. Poor girl. I hope someone put a little fear in that guy about going near her.

If he runs into guy #1 (Bust him up guy) he will have some fear instilled. But honestly I think that the first class he entered the next day he got a note to go to student services where he got a talking to about leaving the dual enrolled students alone.

As I said- I have not seen him since. He was --> <-- that far from being dropped from the class I am in due to not turning in assignments when I let the prof know he'd asked the gal out and all broke loose. It was equally close to our not having the conversation cause I had messed up MY weeks and freaked thinking I was out of town THIS week and needed to get an assignment done ASAP or risk getting a *0* so I went to the profs office more or less in a tizzy without an appt and arrived just as he was leaving. If he misses Wednesday then he is on day 5 and you get dropped after day 4... So...

I hope he doesn't run into guy #1. Guy #1 doesn't need the trouble anymore than stalker guy does.

Stalkers are creepy, but I only know from speculation and hear-say as I have never really experienced being "stalked"...not that I want to be stalked or anything.

....There was a guy that used to come in almost every day to the place of my employment (back in the day) to sit and watch me work. He went away shortly after when he found out that my husband (my then boyfriend) was working with me... So, it wasn't actually stalking.

Anyway,

My pathetic whine for the day:

I had to participate in our building's quarterly Fire Drill today.

Myyyy caaaaalves huuuuurt!

I did 20 minutes of step-ups yesterday (you know, when you are at a stair step and go up, up, down, down with your feet - It's a pretty good workout). But when I got out of bed this morning, my calf muscles screamed at me. And I DID stretch after the workout and drank plenty of water!

There's my whine for the day.

Hey! I ought to initialize a firedrill some day when only about a third of the employees are in the building! I'll run out of my office, smack the alarm (which is right outside my door), and see if I can walk to the southeast corner within 30 seconds, without panicking, where I can stand, all alone, panting.

Hey! Maybe if I grab my purse, attache case, and cell phone, I can give myself a demerit! If I bring my coat, two demerits. Only I don't have a coat. Ah! If I bring my tea! . . .
