Oh that is so good! It would be terribly hard to not have any contact at all for too long.

Wow Abiyah, you are so much better than me. I just answer, answer, answer...and sometimes I think about it and sometimes I don't! I always like your post because they are thorough. I'm glad you take the time be efficient!

How was your day?

Oh, Popsi. I wish I were that good. I recently wrote a post then said I was not going to come back on the thread because it was useless, and I think I was too rough on the person. I have wished I could go back and soften it. But one's word is binding, and I am not sure I should have said it different.

Shall I whine about my day? Does anyone know how I can speed up my computer at work? WHine: it is slower than last winter's molasses. Slower than a snail walking away from its lover. Slower than a slug trying to come in under a tight doorway. Slower than that very old man I saw going down I-35 on a motorcycle with training wheels (I really did see that!). Slower than . . . well, you've got the idea. I need to go to the computer area and ask some questions!

Otherwise, my day went well, but I have a lot to get done tomorrow.

How was your day? Do you hear back tomorrow? Be sure to whine your answer!

it is the not having "contact" that is going to cause me the most issues.... He is a big teddy bear snuggle up kinda guy and I am Uhhhh... let's just say a wee bit SPOILED(and High Maintenance). If he is sitting near me, he is touching me, holding my hand- playing with my ear- twirling my hair- playing with my sleeve. I am not complaining- Nope. I enjoy his touch. *blushes a bit for admitting that in the open.*

whine, whine, whine...

I wish I heard back tomorrow, but alas I hear back on Friday.

My day was pretty miserable because my best friend was miserable. She has been constipated because of her pregnancy and that has led her to a whole plethora of emotions. Some of them not controlled. Anyways, other than that...okay.

I emailed my Pastor set up a counselling session. I really need someone to talk to that is outside of all the details. You know what I mean?

Feed her oatmeal with raisins in it -- lots of raisins. Tell her to leave the bananas alone. Is she taking iron pills? They can really do a job on some of us in that way. Give her raisin toast for dessert.

Good for you that you are getting counseling. Sometimes, things are hard, and that's what we need -- someone to bounce thing off.

Oh man! Why didn't you tell me that before. I fed her Banana Nut Muffins today...eeeee! She is doing lots better now. Church did her some GREAT good! And I am glad of that...

I know that her Doctor gave her new Iron pills, but I don't think she has taken any of them. I could be wrong tho.

She won't eat anything with raisins. She hates them! But she tried every kind of fruit and it really didn't work. She just went to sleepy and I hope she sleeps REALLY well!

Yea, about getting help. I think this is just a spontaneous things. I don't think I will have counseling sessions week by week set up. Just frustrated right now about so many different areas of my life. Frustrated mostly because of the failure that I see my life as. I'm probably listening to lies too, but why do the lies seem so true?

I want to be a little girl again. My first Love and I were so close when I was little. Nothing else mattered. Then life happened and oh the drift. :(

Well I suppose the whine thread was the appropriate place to whine!

Oh I want to whine about the children at the church. I taught again tonight. This week I didn't have the bratty little girl, but a little boy. He usually is pretty well behaved but it seemed his ADHD ran pretty rapid tonight! He kept running after and hitting one of the triplets. And he made me chase him. And he kept hitting and kicking me when I would pick him up...Up note is that I made it through the lesson and craft time with no problems YAY!

Anyways...

I hate raisins, too. The trick is to bring water and butter or margarine to a hard boil, then put the raisins in it and let it cool. Then they aren't so hard or sweet, and they also won't stick to her teeth so badly. It makes them tastier. But she should brush her teeth afterward. She should also REALLY avoid cheese. Nuts? Well, not while she's like this, usually.

Little guys like you mentioned need HUGS! They don't know it and will resist, but they need hugs.

My whine: the donuts in Crankius' avatar are WAY TOO TEMPTING!

I wanna eat 'em up!

My other whine: I'm getting way too many Runtime Errors today. I've been working on cleaning up one thread, and it's taken me about an hour! Grrrr!

Whew, I feel better. Thanks for letting me whine.

Yeah, I just got one of those runtime errors while quoting someone. Fortunately, pressing the BackSpace key brought everything back so I could copy it in case my second attempt failed.

Ever notice that when you copy your post before clicking OK, you don't get runtime errors? But fail to copy a really good one and it will disappear into cyberspace.

I have to be honest about them. I look at them and think, "Sugar. Greasy fat. I think I'll have toast." That's what happens when you get old: your brain gets all messed up, and your thinking gets all muddled. It's called dementia.

When I see them, I think, "FIVE HOURS in the hot, humid outdoors to work all those calories off!" After shedding 25% of my body weight over the course of many miles and 12 months some 9 years ago, I try to minimize belt-tightening again.

Kwazy, I know.

I just re-read my post and realized that some folks might not know what I am refering to...

my husband (Jerry) is in the Army and is being deployed to Iraq. We are in day 6 of his pre-deployment trip to Iraq. He has been gone since Sept 4 and should be home this weekend and then home for a week maybe two and then he is officially not home for a year.

I did understand that. I have had friends whose husbands went on year-long TDY. I'm just saying that since my husband has been permanently posted elsewhere (Heaven) I have had a lot of practice, and would be glad to try to encourage you.

I ate a donut yesterday. It tasted pretty good, gotta say. Then again, I can count on one hand how many donuts I eat in a year. Every once in a while I need to remind myself just why I don't eat them.

Hey Popsi! I have a song for you- it goes with your avatar(Unstoppable) It is called Unbreakable by the band Fireflight --- I really like it.<--link to the official video on Youtube

Lyrics:

Where are the people that accuse me?
The ones who beat me down and bruise me
They hide, just out of sight
Can’t face me in the light
They’ll return, but I’ll be stronger

Chorus:
God I want to dream again
Take me where I’ve never been
I want to go there
This time I’m not scared
Now I am unbreakable
It’s unmistakable
No one can touch me
Nothing can stop me

Sometimes it’s hard to just keep going
But faith is moving without knowing
Can I trust what I can’t see
to reach my destiny?
I want to take control, but I know better

(chorus)

Forget the fear, it’s just a crutch
That tries to hold you back and turn your dreams to dust
All you need to do is just *trust
(trust, trust, trust)*

(chorus)

My Whine? Hmmmm- I miss my Honey. You all knew that though didn't ya.

Awhh thanks Ezri, I will have to listen to it.

My whine... Well my best friend's birthday is tomorrow. The Pastor asked her to write him a short story and so she did. The thing is that she read it to me first. And it was about a person committing suicide and about how Jesus doesn't always keep His promises. You see the gift I got her was a promise box and a journal that says He always keeps His promises. I got this before knowing all this was going on. And so I am not sure if she is going to be too happy about the gift, but I am going to give it to her anyways...

I wrote on the card. The rain never fails. (because we both like the verse Jesus comes like the rain and she used the rain to personify Jesus in her story) and then I wrote. When He's four days late He's still on time...

I hope she likes...

PopsiLufsJesus, hopefully one day she'll better understand that God always answers the best way, which often times is not the way we would have chosen.

Oh, Popsi. He does always keep His promises. Where we go wrong, as you know, is when we ask for things we want that are not in our best interest. He, being the best Father, the omniscient one, knows what is in our best interest and when it should come -- in the best timing.

I think your gift is lovely -- more than lovely, very thoughtful and wise -- and I'll bet she will also. It may speak to her in the way nothing else can.

Yep you two!

I just gave her the gift about a half hour ago and she did like it! She asked me what she was supposed to write in the journal. And I told her to write the promises that she sees God keep and to also write down promises that she wants God to show her that He keeps! :)

And I am in the process of baking a birthday cake! yay. Well the baking is already done and now it just needs to be frosted. Yo!

Thanks guys

Popsi:

God bless you for caring about your friend. Too many people in this life are so concerned about their "self" that they seem to care for no one else. We all need to learn to love others and be there for them in their time of need. People used to do this for each other. Some still do but not enough of them do it any more. Imagine what our world would be like if they did.

One other thing, always remember that it is ONLY because of God's grace that you are the caring person you are. HE MADE YOU THAT WAY! You are truly UNIQUE i.e. One of a kind, but it is God alone who deserves the praise.
