Maybe that's my trouble. I take ours down the 2nd of Jan. I want it up Christmas week. Actually, if I had my druthers I'd do what Beckey's mom did and put it up the 20-something and take it down on Orthodox Christmas.

This is my tree <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<.

I bought it at an auction last year, and I liked it so much I left it on the table in my living room. It's been there all year, so there's nothing to put up. I'm not doing anything else.

When we'd go to mom's for Christmas she'd have us all take down the tree before we left. I understand why she didn't want to do all the work herself but it just seemed so fast.

I usually take ours down the day after Christmas. I guess its a throw back to growing up poor. I can't stand the sight of a Christmas Tree with no presents under it.

My ILs put the opened gifts back under the tree until they take it down. So it isn't naked!

I will probably put my tree up this weekend and take it down on New Years.

I usually decorate the day after Thanksgiving (this year it was Sat-Sun) and take everything down a week or so after Christmas. I grew up in a liturgical church and Christmas wasn't celebrated until, well Christmas and then until Epiphany (1/6 if I remember correctly). My church now starts the festivities after Thanksgiving and ends them as soon as Christmas day is over. I like Christmas so much that I've decided to combine both traditions and have an extra long Christmas season...

My tree is decorated & sitting all prety under a plastic bag in the closet. Just need to take it out of the plastic bag & move out of the closet. I do have a beatiful new/old oranment to add to it this year thanks to Sharon-Marie. When she was going through her toys she found an old Mickey Mouse CHRISTmas oranment. I love Mickey so this oranment will get a nice place on the front of the tree.

I wish I had a spot where I could leave my Christmas tree fully decorated and then just drag it out at the right time!!!

That was my growing-up tradition too.

I have a spare room at my house in Ohio and my youngest son brings my fully decorated Christmas tree out every year and puts it back in when our early Christmas is over. I have a huge plastic bag that I keep over it. Down here in Florida I just have a small 3 foot artificial tree that I do the same with. No tearing down and putting up for me!! Not bragging, just thankful that I have enough storage room to do that!

Nope but maybe when I'm officially a geezer and all the kids are out on their own I may resort to a ceramic tree!

Quite honestly, that's sort of the way I feel. Who am I decorating for? I'm not a grinch or anything, but my little tree is plenty. I love Christmas and all the trimmings, but let's face it, it's a bother. And it's just me and the dog.

I didn't decorate at all last Christmas because I went out of town and the cat didn't care!! This year the daughters are coming home and bringing their dogs so I'm still not going to have a tree. Just table top/mantel decorations.

Alrighty then. I'll put a little tree on the dining room table and of course we'll have the stockings hung --- with care!
