Hey, Lynn! I'm sorry you're not coming to see us this weekend. We're gonna have a good time Saturday night!

I know...wish I could be in two places at once. While you all are having a great time in Powder Springs I'll be driving back from VA!

At first it was a budget issue...that was resolved...then I bought Mom the tickets to see the Booth Brothers and Triumphant in Lynchburg for Christmas. Hubby decided he wanted to go check on his parents since we didn't go home for Thanksgiving so I decided to go with Mom. I will see Triumphant on Friday night before you do!
Scotty and I were chatting the other day on facebook...I told him I would save a hug for him and he told me I better that Michael couldn't have them all. So I'll send one to you by Scotty!

OK!

Greetings Geezers and Wannabes! I'm finally back after months of not coming around. It wasn't that I didn't like y'all, 'cause I do, but just a lack of time. My father-in-law had been getting better after his massive stroke in January, but around the 1st of September he started slowing down more and more, until he finally died back on Nov. 8th. Mary and I had been wondering for years about his salvation status, but one night in early October we got him to confirm that he had accepted Jesus as his Savior. That was such a relief to the both of us, but especially to my sweetheart. But enough about that. Suffice it to say, I'm glad to be back!

I've got a question for all of you regulars: What is the minimum age to be considered a 'geezer'? Is it 50? 55? Or is it higher? If it's 50, then I got there on the 11th of last month. Otherwise, I'm still a 'wannabe'.

I trust that y'all's Christmas preparations are going well. Ours are starting to come together, and we're looking forward to celebrating on that wonderful day. Take care!!

Duane

Welcome back, noblesinger!!

As far as I'm concerned, Geezerhood is a state of mind. I don't know whether anyone has ever specified a minimum age. Congrats on your up-coming big 5-0 birthday. Donna (GVfan) and I celebrated that one by going to Disney World!!!

Look for clues.

Was Reagan in office?

---------------------------------------------------------

Noblesinger: I think that Billboy (who started all this) set the age at 55. Anyone younger is a Wannabee, and welcome to post here.

Welcome back Duane!

You were definitely missed. I'm sorry to hear about your father-in-law but am glad he is in glory and not suffering anymore.

Sam...I love your siggy...and yes...you do have a point there! If you divide that in half...that would be 2,076,618.5 people got married...apparently only half of a person showed up at their ceremony!!!

Obviously the same number cruncher who did that stat is the one that came up with the 2.5 children per household! I don't know about you but I have whole children...well..I guess my husband can be accounted as half child!

A friend gave me a report with Stats showing that 4,153,237 people got married last year. Now I don't want to start any trouble but I can't help but wonder. Shouldn't that be an even number?

At least one person must have married twice within the year. I have had clients like that.

Santa, did you know that the Knoxville News-Sentinel is running a contest for the best picture of a child/children being terrified while visiting Santa?

That must be for all the fake Santas. Our Santa doesn't have that problem. I was amazed at how Santa and Mrs.C were able to calm the fussy children.

Thanks Frog, but unfortunately it does not work all the time. Need to send them the one of a chiled in a group that would not have anything to do with me and he is curled up on the floor at the edge of my chair with his head down. He was more stubborn than scared.
But Mrs. C. was not there to help on that one.

All Mrs.C needs is a bubble machine and she can get the kids attention and make them smile.

I thought the other day when we seen them making pictures that she must be the daughter of Lawrence Welk.

Well, this ole geezer has got to do another errand. Actually should hav done it while out a while ago but rode right by the cleaners and did not stop. Geezer mind not working in full force today.

Did get gas for $1.37 a while ago at Kroger. That was with my 15 cents discount per gallon. Many places I saw gas was $1.52 which was what Kroger was but I used the discount.

Time to get ready for work. Will be glad when I can just sit and rest for a couple of hours before work. Had to unload Suburban today. Put camera equipment back in trailer so I can move trailer.
It is not things I am doing for Mrs. C. that is taking up time but other things to do with work. Some photos that should have been here yesterday were still sitting at lab waiting for me to pick them up when they should have known to send them to me UPS. Some one not doing their job at lab.
See ya!
