As for Christmas, I have good and not so good memories but it's still my favorite time of year. Speaking of which, I debated on sharing my recent "feeling like a spoiled child of God" moment but maybe I will:
As with a lot of people, things have been tight financially for us so, when we were at NQC, I made a conscious effort not to buy CDs. I bought one DVD and thought of buying a few other things but kept in mind that I needed to make sure any purchase I made was God-led and not me-led. In the middle of the week, I lost my purse at which point I felt like any purchases I'd thought of making were definitely out of the question. (I did get my purse back by the way which was another tremendous miracle that only God could have worked out.)
The last day of NQC, the McKameys sang and they sang, "Do You Know How It Feels?" After that set, I told my sister that I wanted the CD with that song on it. I came close to asking for money so I could buy it but I felt like I shouldn't spend the money. I didn't have a lot of time to pray about it but I didn't want to make a hasty decision and decided to hold off. The past couple months, though, I've mentioned it along the lines of, "If anyone needs a gift for me, I think I'd really like this CD."
Well, this past Saturday, my sisters and I stopped at Goodwill for their 1/2 price sale. I typically could care less about the clothes but I always check out the music and books. As I was finding a few things for my siblings, the only Southern Gospel recording they had was the McKameys CD that I've been wanting for months!!! Half price at Goodwill made it $1.50 and I told my sister she could put it away for me for Christmas. I am still in awe but I feel like it was my Father's Christmas present to me. Not that He owed me another gift but I love it and am so thankful for it!

Good evening all! I've missed out on reading a lot of past posts so I hope I haven't missed anything really important. Sometimes ignorance is bliss!!
Santa - so glad to hear Mrs. C is doing better.
Melissa - I love your avatar. I am a kitty collector (well, I don't mean real live kitties) so I love all the kitty stuff!!
I am also enjoying seeing all the Christmas avatars. I have no idea how to change mine, and had help getting my original one on, so everyone just has to be stuck with looking at my "mug".

Janis, are you having good weather in the Sunny State? We got a few flurries of snow in the North Atlanta area today. Very unusual this early in the year. Our bad weather is in late Jan, Feb .

Good morning all. I am about to head out the door to take Diane to the Doctor or something. She was awaken this morning with bad chest pains. May have pulled a muscle or something but need to get it checked out. I would appreciate a few prayers.

By the way, I had mentioned Mrs. C. had pneumonia but never mentioned plurisy also. Think that was what was causing all the pain.

Qtman: Praise God! Pulled muscle is no fun, but better than what it could have been!! I pray she will be well soon!
Also pray Mrs. C is doing much better and gets a good report from the Dr. visit today.
I have prayed this morning for all the prayer requests.
It is cool and cloudy here in Florida. All the original Floridians would say that it is just plain cold!!!! This is my 8th winter in Florida so I am beginning to agree with them!!
