Yep...understood!!! There's a thread devoted to that topic all on it's own!

I have to clarify when talking outside of SC if I say anything about USC for that reason...Univ. Southern Calif. is what I would think of first before living down here.

The traveling wouldn't be bad if I was only going say 4 hours or so but 7 hours home without delays is a lot for a day or two...says one who will be making an overnight trip end of this week.
We used to travel the 22 hours from Houston to home in VA every year for Christmas but then my hubby would take vacation time and that was our only trip home for the year. We would leave as soon as school let out for the holiday break and return New Year's. Only time I ever traveled through Alabama...we would stay overnight in Birmingham...it was about half way. Oh...I did go to Montgomery when my BIL got married 22 years ago.

And we haven't let her back in since then.

Hidee,
I had never visited one of these type of "threads", so I thought I would check it out. Am I right that it is kind of a "randon thoughts" type thread with an overall "theme" that fits the particular season of the year? I do not have a great deal of time to post. However, I thought becoming involved in this thread each season may make me feel more like I am a "part of the group".

To stay on topic, I love the Christams season; however, we really do not do any decorating or real celebration until about a week before. I'm especially blessed to have both of my parents still living, healthy, and living less than three miles from me. Therefore, most of the celebration revolves around them and my four local nieces and nephews.

Rode around in snow flurries for a couple of hours in Forsyth and Gwinnett counties. Nothing right now.

Welcom Gayla to the Geezer and Gonna-Be thread where any topic is correct. Well, almost any topic. Don't want the mods to get after us so we do keep it clean.

Yes. It's open to pretty much anything. You can post about pretty much anything from what you're having for dinner to whether you think one of the members of TMBQ should get a toupee.

Spect you'll be hearing from Dinana when she finds out about the interview. He's is one of her favorites. Like the old commercial (before your time), I'd walk a mile for a camel to hear him sing.

He's one of my favorites, too! I've wanted to interview him for something like two years now, and finally it just worked out. We were trading emails one afternoon, and I guess it was a slow day in the office both for him and me, so we did it more or less spur of the moment. :)

Almost work time. Still been snowing off and on in the area. Nothing staying on the ground.

Mrs. C. goes back to Dr. tomorrow afternoon. Still getting stronger each day. Just going to take a while.

Hello, Hope everyone had a good day. Trying to get over the sinus infection, so I come home today and took a nap.

Welcome to the Geezer thread Gayla. Contrary to the advice given above by BBfan it is suggested you post on your computer. Sometimes BBfan post on the table cloth or napkins and the rest of us can't see it.

You know I'm a bit tired of some of the newbies on here (not you Gayla) that come on here and immediately start posting negative remarks. I'm referring to remarks made asking who Ms Judy is and why she was nominated for the award. Okay...I'm through fussing. I'll talk to you all tomorrow.
