a couple of us (mmmmm...guess who that would be!) were talking...and thought it would be a good idea to have a thread where we can all post a short list of things we'd like to receive in our Christmas Stockings (for the exchange here). we may all be 'friends'...but that doesn't mean we know if someone likes candy canes, cough drops (don't ask...LOL), scented lotion, etc. so here's your chance, y'all!!!!!! and i'll start... Ideas for Kimberly's Christmas Stocking: * soft peppermint candies * vanilla-scented anything * candles (tealights, vanilla votives, whatever) * pretty glass beads or marbles (look in the jewelry aisle at walmart, fabric store, etc) * little glass bottles - any shape or size or color works (i find em at goodwill store for $0.50 ea) * sodoku (or whatever that is) or crossword puzzle book

Cool idea! iTunes is a good thing for me, too...I have to buy tracks of the songs I'm performing each semester so that I'll have something to practice with. Packets of coffee, cocoa. Pirouettes is a traditional stocking stuffer at our house. Pens and pencils Lip balm or gloss breath mints I can put in my purse I love Jelly Belly jelly beans meh. That's all I can think of, now. shallbe

Wow! AWESOME idea Kimberly!! *wink*wink*nudge*nudge* Okay...well, I love anything Tinkerbell, Twilight and Harry Potter. Pens, stickers, doodads, whatnot. Snickers and Reese's Peanut Cups, hot chocolate, word and logic puzzles (but not Sodoku), sugar free gum, ink pens, and iTunes. I would also looove to have something between 5'10" and 6'2", strong Christian, and who loves kids.

LOL. So, you doing it then? LOL. Hmmm...what do I want? what do I want? This is really tough, because we never give presents at home other than to kids. -A Hugh Jackman action figure, lol but I'd settle for the real thing. -The Metallica CD with the San Francisco Symphony. I almost bought it today but I ended up buying my daughter's presents....now I'm broke. -A 6'2 blonde, blueyed firefighter -A VS gift certificate -a book or gift certificates to a bookstore. On the other hand, I'd be happy with anything...anything at all. Except for the firefighter wish. That's not negotiable at this point, lol.

Here's the original quote about the pants. It's a prayer by a woman who wanted to leave it up to God to bring her a man. Father in heaven, hear my prayer. And grant it if you can. I’ve hung a pair of trousers here. Please fill them with a man.’”

God has been very very good to me. I can't think of a single stocking stuffer sort of thing. Just about everything I need or want I have, and those things that I don't have only God can give to me anyway. maybe books?

I didn't realize posting in here was signing up for the exchange. That might need to be explained a bit more clearly - when it was mentioned - I was like - "oh cool, an exchange - where did I miss the info on signing up?" I thought this thread was solely for the ideas for the exchange after having signed up elsewhere. KWIM???????

Me neither. I didn't know there was an exchange among members. Oh well, I don't think anyone can grant me that wish of filling up those pair of men's pants anyway, lol.

Emptying the Christmas stockings is possibly the funnest part of opening presents! Almost everything inside is utile. :) * an assortment guitar picks * a lint roller * crossword puzzles (difficult level, please) * a toothbrush * batteries * bite-size Butterfingers and/or Snickers * notepads (no pens--I prefer to get those myself) * a lottery ticket (it's the one time of the year that I'll play) * Burt's Bees original lip balm * gift certificates to book and record stores :) And I'll echo others in that a really cool man would be a nice treat.
