How did you spend this dark, dreary day, Mike? I just played on my computer all day.

Hi Marsha and Deb! I spend the first part of the day on forum, then I rested for a while. Now I am back here again.

It seems to me, Mike, that fall is turning to winter already. Of course, some of the temps we had earlier this week are like winter in the Bay Area!

Sometimes I think about what it would be like to live there?

I miss the weather and my friends and family. But I believe I was made for Boston, where I can visit the 17th, 18th, 19th and 20th Centuries often! I always wanted to live in the 18th and 19th Centuries, so I'm very happy here. Except in winter, when I can't get to Boston.

I am glad that you do like Boston Deb. Living here all my life I have seen many, many changes and ones that i am not very happy with at all. I am ready to live someplace else at some point.

Hi Melissa, I am doing ok. I just got back from seeing my mom and also taking a quick rendezvous in the North End of Boston. I got myself some Italian pastries and then headed home. Now I am just catching up on my forums subs since this afternoon.

Hi There Gary, actually at this very moment it is 68º outside. The normal high for this time of year is in the upper 50's. I will enjoy it while it lasts as it is supposed to drop 30 degrees by tomorrow afternoon instead.

Hi Mike. Come spring and Deb and I will try to make another visit to the North End. We had a canoli (sp?) at the North End Bakery kiosk at Quincy Market on Friday but we'd like to get to a Bakery in the North End itself and try their wares. Can you suggest one or two in the North End that are both good and wheelchair accessible? What Italian pasteries do you like?

The transportation system here is fabulous, but rents are high. So it's a trade-off.

Boston is very expensive, but you can surely survive without a car here. I have all my life, so it is not a problem. Rents are a little lower in the burbs but not by much though. Hi John, if you can bear the pedestrian traffice, there is Mike's pastery in the North End. If not there, then there is a place right Cross St. not far from Haymarket Station. I cannot remember the name of the place though.
