Where were you when I lived up there?

Probably hanging with my sister in San Fran. Too bad I missed you!

The shindig's tomorrow. I'll post how it went.

I think that this event was a great success. I took nine ladies and three dudes mid-town for after-church lunch and we had a blast. I let everyone know that this was an icebreaker for me to get to know them better, and that I was interested in both guys to hang with (movies, gym, etc.) as well as ladies for dating. Of the 9 women, three said they don't date, four said that they were seeing someone at the time, and two said that they were interested in getting to know me better (these two said it both by phone afterwards privately; the others all answered at dinner). I told each of them that I'd call them later. I think that I'll see if either is comfortable with chatting over coffee or drinks about what we're each looking for in dating. I want them to know about me, my background, my beliefs or lack of them, etc. from the get-go, although I did bring this up at lunch.

What I think is interesting is this: not during our outing, but privately and afterward, all three guys contacted me by email or phone. Each was looking for a 1-on-1 buddy to hang out with outside of their church friends. They seemed especially interested in things like a partner for running or working out, or a buddy to see movies or play cards etc. with.

What a great experience for you.

You met some ladies, made some new guy friends...THIS is how Christians should meet new people. Take the initiative and just DO IT.

*sigh*

If you were more my type I would so totally be swooning over you right now...LOLOL

As long as you had fun and didn't take things too seriously, then all is well!!!

I think the most serious thing was the follow up from a couple of the guys.

Thanks for the review, eks! I'm glad that it turned out beneficial.
