Absolutely not. I'm just speaking from my own experiences that often others see things in us that we didn't see in ourselves.

That's what I thought. Thanks for clarifying and being a good sport. :)

Just as I said, out of curiosity. Your reasoning is well thought out. I'm sure there are men like that, but you're right that they would be rare, indeed.
I'm just always interested in challenging people's reasoning. I'm contrary, that way.

Out of curiosity, why do you think those men would be rare?

What do you mean? Do you know any of these kinds of guys? 'Cause if you do and you've been holding out on me, I'm gonna cry...

lol!

I'm convinced they are very rare. eHarmony couldn't manage to put me together with one in 10 months.

Skrey, I just wondered if something in my first post had made your line of thinking take off on that path of curiosity, that's all.

Thanks...I do think I have thought it through. But then, in my experience, God likes to mess with those carefully thought out principles...

shallbe

Likelihood of wanting children "of their own" (Though, if they were widowed, they may already have). Likelihood they haven't been through the kind of experiences mentioned. Likelihood that they want someone young and pretty (Not matching just this one is rare). Likelihood that they don't have the parenting techniques mentioned.
But rare or common, God can bring you together.

I was in a smart aleck-y mood when I posted that question, with the intention of responding to your answer with your "I'm just always interested in challenging people's reasoning. I'm contrary, that way."

Sorry.

And there's another reason for this thread... to show you that what you thought wasn't a good thing may actually be a very good thing to another person!

A lake and a hammock is very very cool. But I can move to hundreds of lakes. (Can't hang the hammock on the boat but the seats are plush enough)

Oh, fine, but the lakes you can move to are all at least the larger part of an hour away. MY lake can be WALKED to in a few minutes...and there are several noted recreational lakes ATTACHED TO IT. And the weather is nicer longer here, and the water warmer.

Ha! And I not only bake cookies, but a mean loaf of authentic San Francisco Sourdough bread as well as any other kind of bread you can mention.

Not that we're in any kind of a competition...I just found the thought amusing that we could all point to many, many things that were good things we could bring to a relationship.

John, don't worry. You'd be a great catch even without a boat.

Good question, I'll name the ones I can think of...

When I love someone, I love them with every ounce of my being.

I am committed, you either don't have any of me or you have 110% of me!

I am loyal, I won't leave you, no matter what!

I love to make people laugh and I love to laugh, I've been told my laugh sounds like music! *shrugs* LOL!

I can smile at you and make you happy, even when you would like to cry.

I know how to cook and I do a rather good job of it too!

I can sing, and I seem to do it all the times.

I know how to listen when you need to talk.

That's all I can think of at the moment, there may be more, but that's all I can think of!

While I have resoundingly whipped most of the ladies I've dated (or been married to) at Trivial Pursuit I'm pretty sure that's not the reason they dumped me.

Does that mean when they said "I don't want to date you anymore because you're a poo-poo head and you smell funny" that they were lying? (please say yes, please say yes)
