Oh, here's one I've posted before. I'll do this, then I HAVE to get back to work. You're in the grocery store, produce section. You spot a person who's trying to decide which one to pick. You walk up, put one in his hand and say "here, I think this is the one you want" then walk away. You'll leave the guy speechless. A little while later, you see the guy again with the produce in his basket. "Wise choice" you say with a wink, and you're off again. Soon, the guy is hunting you down 'cause he doesn't want you to get away. One of the two of you will say "we've got to stop meeting like this", exchange phone numbers, and enjoy a nice romantic dinner for two.

LOL! Thanks a million for your priceless suggestions. What if I asked, "Do fries go with that shake?"

ORIGINAL: ebony101 I voted man always, I thought that the question referred to asking the big question: "Will you marry me?" I don't mind asking first though (I've said this countless times before), and many of you have swayed me with your arguments of the man should do the pursuing. But just yesterday I met a male acquaintance on the bus, and if it wasn't for the fact that my bags were heavy and I was looking forward to going home. I would have asked if he'd like to join me for a slice at "Slice of cake" (my name for a neat little store where you can go just for a bite to eat and mild conversation). I really don't see anything wrong with the initial going out, but after that it's all up to Him. What do the guys think of that? I think it could be ok to do this. But I don't know if I have the courage to do it. I think it is cool that you do. I think if I had the courage, I'd probably date more - I know that I can sometimes be a little hard to read ...

It's just I think when you're trying to pick up men in the produce section, while selecting fruits, um....be careful. It's um...how should I say this.....there's just something a little naughty about that. Maybe it's just me, lol. I hope some men will correct me if I'm wrong. I don't think I can ever do this.

Not if it's done by a Christian! Besides, this scenario is more for the "wow" effect... I'm not sure I've even had the opportunity to try... I usually try to get out of the grocery store as quickly as I can.

We'll see if I can get any courage to try accidentally bumping my cart to a man I find attractive while doing my groceries...lol....that's probably the only way I'll meet anyone in a store.

There are some stores around here I would not try that... but there are others where I'm like "wow" so this is where all the bachelors shop! Actually, I don't want to meet someone at the grocery store, but it's a fun place to practice flirting and make someone feel good. Don't lead us on if we have no chance, ladies.

BTW, the conclusion to it is "People are starting to talk" Question for everyone's consideration I was at a craft/health fair and I stopped at a booth to sign up for a raffle. The booth is for an assisted living center. I talked to the lady working there, gave her a hard time about her imprecise language for the raffle, and got her laughing. As we exchanged names she pointed out her card sitting on the table with an implied in her voice "take it" So. Was she inviting me to look her up?

I don't know John. You got me there. That's a little too subtle for me.

She's attached (and as it turns out, too young) But at least I made the call. It's astonishing how hard that is.

ORIGINAL: jesuschick247 I thought it would be fun, not to get into a fight, but to see who you think should ask the other person out first! I personally want the guy to, because then I know he is a pursuer and will lead the relationship. This is something that I just recently realized though. So, what's your opinion? i don't see asking out on an initial date or activity meaning that one is forced to lead the relationship from then on so i voted either one. obviously there comes a time where if the man is interested, will do the asking. edit: way to go on the call john_o! hopefully the next call will be easier and we never know how it'll turn out.
