"He calls it "a brilliant stroke" by President-elect Barack Obama, who opposed Clinton for the Democratic nomination.

Says Limbaugh: "You know the old phrase, 'You keep your friends close and your enemies closer?' How can she run for president in 2012? She'd have to run against the incumbent and be critical of him -- the one who made her secretary of state."

STORY HERE

She was probably done anyway. This was her best shot. In 2016, she'll be in her late 60's.

More like late 70's.

Math never was your strong suit.

I guess I am showing my age.

But being in her late 70's is not exactly young to run again for President.

Right.

After undermining BO's policies she'll be out anyway.

In 2016, Hillary will be a babe of merely 69. Certainly not late 70s. And she's NOT OLD!!!

She becomes Sec of State... Paterson talks Bill into taking a paycut and names him to take her Senate seat... Once the first SC Justice quits Obama nominates her to take that spot... She takes it and Obama's potential rival in '12 is done away with (not that she'd have run unless he has really tanked it) and once again the Clinton's are shaping US policy from a different standpoint... SCOTUS... FOR LIFE!

Makes sense to me! And Bill doesn't even have to take the Senate seat...

Since being elected senator for New York, she has specialised in foreign affairs and defence.

How do they come up with specialised in foreign affairs and defence? When I see:

quote:

Clinton has served on five Senate committees:
Committee on Budget (2001–2002)
Committee on Armed Services (since 2003)
Committee on Environment and Public Works (since 2001)
Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (since 2001)
Special Committee on Aging.

She is also a Commissioner of the Commission on Security and Cooperation in Europe (since 2001)

I'd don't get that impression.

She has foreign experience because she landed in Bosnia under sniper fire: Video LINK

She's not a babe by any measure today so how the heck will she be a babe with 8 years added to her face? Hillary LINK

News for earthless: She was born in 1947. In 2016, she will be 69 on election day. Get a calculator or ask a third-grader to do the math for you.

I heard a blurb on the radio this morning about Bill maybe being appointed to her Senate seat. But the hosts think he's holding out for Secretary General of the UN, so he can be 'president of the world'.

Either way...if 'change' means going back to the 90's, when the Clintons were in power, that's change Obama can keep.

And of course because she is a liberal she will not be old. But McCain? Old as dirt.
