Because they have every reason to lie about Obama meeting with them. Heck, if I were less-than-honest, I might lie about meeting with Obama, too on behalf of the Independant New York City-State group.

Why would the spokeman for Hamas lie about meeting with Obama aids? It isn't exactly friends with the current administration or the McCain campaign. What you are saying makes absolutely no sense.
Of course, you have Obama denials to back up your assertion?

For the same reason that I met with Obama about having the federal government offer a $500 Million grant to my lead-to-gold conversion program while I'm trying to do an IPO. It makes me look important.

You aren't the spokesman for a government involved in on of the most controversial and well known international conflicts.
If this Hamas spokesman is as you are arguing 'lying' about such a meeting, then he stands to endanger future interactions with a potentially friendly administration, as well as his own role in such a government. To say such a thing would have serious consequences, and we would expect both denials from Hamas representives and the Obama camp.
Can you produce those denials?
If not, why not simply admit that you really have no idea what you are talking about, and as a result are flailing for anything you can think of...
