Okay that sounds like a really weird question but here's the issue behind it. My family are all Christian Scientists...I am the only real Christian. And so I am of course constantly terribly worried for them, knowing where they're going to end up and such. But I keep getting so confused as to WHY God actually heals them. I've seen them, especially my grandmother, go through some...like....un-bleeping-believable healings. Like blatant physical ones. And I kept wondering- why is God doing this? Why is he playing on their insanity? He's only further confirming their beliefs, which will hinder them even more from ever finding the truth. Cause I mean that's the main thing that keeps them in that religion. If they get healed they think 'wow this really is God'. But then I just realized....is it possible this is Satan healing them, so that they'll keep astray from the truth? I do remember a verse talking about Satan masquerading as an angel....but I was just wondering if he can physically heal the way God does. Even if he can, I doubt I will ever be able to convince them of this. And will just have to pray as hard as I can for them. But does anyone know if this is possible, of Satan?

maybe god is healing them as a way for them to draw closer to him? i dont know much but im darn shure satan wouldnt heal somebody .
well actually im 100% shure as evil as he is he wouldnt do a thing like that .

Matthew 24:24 - "For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive even the elect—if that were possible."
And Satan is the father of lies/falsehoods.
so it goes to reason that, yes, he could. although they would be false healings.

I would say "Yes" too.
Don't forget, Jesus gave power to His apostles, which included Judas. This power allowed them to heal:
Matthew 10:1
And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.
Now Jesus knew that Judas was going to betray Him, but this did not stop Him from giving Judas the power to heal.
Our Lord later said of Judas:
John 6:70
Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil?
So I would answer your OP - Yes, Satan can heal.

Orlando D'Olivera was a voodo witch doctor in Brazilia back in the late 1950s. He came to faith in Jesus circa 1960 and I saw him give his testimony a few years later. He told of several of his fellow witch doctors putting a curse (disease) on someone for $$$ and him going to another witch doctor (with more $$) to take it off. I have no reason to disbelieve him. I believe I still have his testimony on a vinyl record somewhere in my collection.
The devil can heal, probably in a limited way. However, it always comes at a price (more than just the $$) by getting you more dependant on him and further away from God.
My college roommate once quipped that the devil will provide whatever will pull you away from Jesus, be it a girlfriend, seeing a UFO, some supernatural occurance, or anything else.

As the Creator and Sustainer of all life, God alone heals. Satan cannot heal.
Satan is a liar and a deceiver. His capability is limited to pretending to be and do what only God is and can do. False healing's are useful for one reason and one reason only, to deceive. A false healing is just that, false, not true, fake, a deception.
No matter what the means of true healing, it is God alone who heals.

Just my 2 cents worth but I believe that Satan can afflict us with certain ailments and problems. If he can afflict us with that, then he could lift that affliction just as well. Especially in a case like this when this deception would continue to keep people from the Lord.

Agreed. There are doctors who are skilled, but not necessarily "good." You don't have to be good, in the moral sense, to be good in the skilled sense.

Yes, he can and will do a lot of things to deceive..just as he did when Mose's was in Pharoah's court.
The difference is God can and will stop satan anytime He chooses...but satan can never and has never stopped God.

Just to add that although I believe that he can heal, he cannot make whole. Only God is able to do that.

No, he cannot heal. And he does have power nor control over a believer. A believer knows when something is from God.

Well I mean the healings do bring them closer to God and Jesus....just not in the right way haha. So that's what confuses me. Wouldn't Satan want to steer you completely away from God...not make you have more faith in him?

Satan is out to make you question everything about God. Remember he is the deceiver, the accuser, the liar. He does not want us trusting in God. Remember when God saves us, we have then become a threat to satan. He is out to destroy us. He knows his destination, and he knows there is nothing he can do about it, so he is here to take as many as he can with him.

It's like. . . if you think you can say a magic prayer and suddenly you are "healed," you are going to have faith in those special little words or whatnot, and not in the Almighty.
I would think that Satan would also be perfectly content with one believing in a false Jesus and be healed than not.

I really think there is a simple answer here.
My first thought is Doctors, whether Satanic or not, can promote the healing process.
A christian doctor might give credit to God and vice versa.
Yahweh's Christ is the healer.

No. Satan cannot heal in the eternal sense. Whatever 'healing' on the this green earth is only due the mercy/grace of Jesus' blood. Satan can(and will) claim a counterfeit healing and restoration(for his selfish glory)but any healing is due to His sacrifice and Victory.
