I request your prayers for our small church. It is broken and the financial need is dire.
Father,
Thank you for being you. Thank you for specializing in what we see to be impossible. Please come to our rescue. Give us, the members of this congregation, clean, pure hearts and give us relief in every way that you know we need it. For sure, we need ongoing financial help. Our Pastor has offered to work without pay from us but he cannot afford to do so. Bless him. We ask for your miraculous intervention in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Lord I lift up this church to you.
I pray Lord that you will bless and help them through this time.
I pray you will heal the brokenness this church is feeling.
I pray Lord for restoration to come in like a mighty wind.
I pray the people will come together in unity and reach out to the community.
Lord I ask you to give the pastor and members guidance and direction in making decisions.
Help them Lord as they look to you for all things,help them to see the solutions which will help them to grow financially and spiritually.
Lord you know every need and concern which this small church is facing.

Lord, you watch over all your children in this world. You are great and powerful, and you desire that all hear your word and lift up praises to your name. Please, Lord God, look down upon this church with favor and mercy. Please gift its congregation with concern and hope so that they might be able to to save it from any complications with its financial situation. Let them come up with ways to help fund the church and meet it's needs so that it can continue to survive and spread the Gospels to all who need to hear them. Lord, I ask this in the name of your beloved Son, Our Risen Lord, Jesus Christ.

Our Pastor sent me...I'm the associate (unpaid) Pastor...an email asking for prayer, saying that he and our District Pastoral Leader has a meeting today. He said that he'll give me a phone call.
Loving Father,
Thank you that we can rely on you to provide the very best solutions to our situation. Our Pastor would be in dire circumstances if he took a large cut in salary, yet such a move seems to be the only sure way to solve our church's financial troubles. We know that, if there is a better way, you can provide it. Please cause the best to take place. Guide the District Pastoral Leader in today's meeting with our Pastor to come to a beautiful solution. Thank you for what you will do. It is in the name of your Son, who is our Saviour that we pray and praise. Amen.

Here's an update
After seeking God, we had a church Town Hall meeting. After the church Town Hall meeting, we had an Advisory Council meeting. Then our Pastor took the comments and recommendations of the congregion to the District Pastoral Leader. Together, the District Pastoral Leader and the Pastor considered and discussed the congregation's recommendations.
They decided to issue Statement of Intention cards to the congregation to help us know what to expect for income.
They decided that the Pastor will discuss the situation with the director of the denomination's Human Resorces Department...discuss the financial situation and the Pastor's salary in relationship to the time-line of the Pastor's retirement.
They decided to reform the Advisory Council—take a poll of the congregation to decide who will be on the new Council which will consist of only 3 people instead of 6 people.
Of course, throughout all of our efforts we will be praying and personally examining our own hearts.

Yes, the same is true with us. We are financed through the donations of our church, not by another organization.
The church“Town Hall”meeting is a meeting style, (not a meeting of the town council) whereby everyone in the church has the opportunity to speak, make a suggestion or ask a question. The church Advisory Council consists of church members (not the town council) who give council to the Pastor.

I pray Lord you will intervene and help them beyond what they could ever imagine.
Help them Lord to reach more people through the years and to stand firm on the foundation of your word.

Here is a brief update.
The financial situation is still quite difficult, but the church now is pulling together in unity. The atmosphere has changed from one of stress & tension to one of unity & joy.

Thank you for restoring unity and joy.
Thank you for the mutual support of the members.
Thank you so much for the prayers on this Forum on behalf of our little congregation.

Praying for your situation, our church was much like this several years ago. Everything was in the red. Of course we were praying but I believe the biggest help we had was when we became actively mission work, some was financial but much was with giving of time. God began to bless our giving to His work and our church has grown, we have a new larger (and very needed) building and the church is continuing to grow.
I once had a pastor that every time the church got in 'trouble' financially he would recommend we give something to a missionary. It is not a 'magic wand' but God does reward faithful giving.
