A lady I used to work with...I found out that her husband died last Friday at only 40. He leaves behind 2 kids under 6 and a wife. I got an e-mail yesterday and I sent it out to our old boss. I also wrote her and e-mail.

I ask you to pray for T and her kids. She is Catholic...and I never was sure how deep she and her husband are in faith. I ask you to pray for God to sustain and carry her through.

Lord, please be with T and her two children at this time in their lives. Look down with mercy upon them and help them to cope with the loss of a husband/father. Comfort them with your love and give them all strength to move on past this tragedy. Remind them that you are with them at all times, and help them to cling to you through this difficult time. Keep them close to one another. Do not let the devil use this to divide them up or to burden them with stryfe. Instead, wipe the tears from their eyes and surround them with friends and family members who can show them compassion and and support as they go on with their lives. May this tragedy help to strengthen their faith in you, Lord, and help draw each of them closer in their walk with you. And remind them that, as long as they have faith in you and your Son, Jesus Christ, they will one day be reunited with their lost loved one in your kingdom.

Lord, I also pray for the man of this family who has died, T's husband. Please welcome him into your kingdom with open arms and give him the love and peace that is not found on Earth, but only in Heaven with you.

I ask all of this in the name of your Loving Son, Jesus Christ.

Amen.
