ORIGINAL: psaulm119 Another good source for free songs is project playlist (www.projectplaylist.com). It basically acts as a search engine for music that is already posted online. you can find some good songs and listen to them for free. They don't have as much music as Rhapsody but you don't have a limit on the number of songs, like Rhapsody does. Thanks for the link!

Limewire causes havoc on computers, often resulting in needing repair... not worth it..

I learned the hard way about limewire. It was on my parents first computer. Around two years ago we had to replace it because it put a spyware and viruses on it. For a couple of months I used torrent website to download whole albums. If you know what you are doing this is alot easier then limewire. But one problem with torrenting music is that they tend be be bigger files, due to the fact that it is hard to go smaller then a whole album. These bigger files and longer download times, make it easier to have the download traced back to you. I have since stopped downloading any music, because I don't want the software on my computer and I didn't feel right about downloading/stealing the music from the artists. Right now I'm at college and both of my roommates use torrents to download music, along with movies and video games. Downloading these huge files aren't smart at all. We had are internet connection shut down, because our internet company traced the downloading of copyright material through our modem. At least it was the internet company was the only one that traced it or they might have gotten in alot more trouble.
