Status: online 		We're travelling with my sister and her little guy too... separate cars though. We are going to Ottawa to visit my dad's side of the family for Thanksgiving. We're leaving around 4am on friday morning, hoping to get there around suppertime. Then driving home on monday. It's a long drive for such a short visit, but I haven't seen that side of the family for a long time, and I'm so excited!

I'll be only 6 hours from Lexie!!

Yes, I do have a dvd player for the car, and my friend lent me some baby einstein dvd's and the Lion King. And I'll be able to get in the back with him because my dad is traveling with us too. I don't think it will be too bad, but we will have to make sure we let him out to run around lots!

Cool! I'll split up my tests between you and Sandy and then they'll be gone. I don't remember where I got them, but if you just search for pregnancy tests online, you'll find lots of places that sell them. I do know I went with a medical supply company, I just don't remember who.

Bring lots of snacks for the trip. That's my only tip. Oh, and don't stop when the baby is sleeping. Cross your legs and keep going until pee comes out your eyeballs.

Hey girls. I'm writing a devotional for pwoc on thursday. I've had some writers block..but I would like to write about how we should not be merely content to survive trials...based on james 1:2-3 ("Consider it pure joy when you face trials...")
What do you think? Good topic?

I think it's great! Our pastor has been preaching on this a lot lately. He has been preaching from II Corinthians 10:3-4 for a few weeks. It has brought about a great perspective for facing those trials. We are not powerless in them, because we have His power!

It's actually only 4.5 hours! We're so close! Enjoy the trip, I lived there for 4 years and both Dh and I miss it so much.

I am so tired! Last night a friend came to visit and as he left found he got a parking ticket. I went down to get the ticket from him to take care of it and found a group of people who all got tickets. They told me that they had phoned the police about it because the tickets were unfair, so I waited around to see what came of it. Security and the building manager were trying to tell me that my friend parked in another tenants spot but I know that wasn't right.

After the police came and left and the group of people left I went to talk to security about what happened. One nice guy told me that they called parking enforcement on the other people because they were illegally parked and refused to leave the property when asked (because they didn't live in the building, they were just hanging out.) So parking enforcement came along and ticketed them but unfortunately my friend was parked amongst them so they had to give him a ticket as well.

Good thing is, they ticketed my friend for the wrong infraction so he can fight it, bad thing is it's not worth the lost wages to go and fight it

Anyways, after all that I didn't get back to the apartment until midnight and by the time I got to bed it was way too late and now I'm up way too early!

Sarah, those pictures are gorgeous!! You would never know it was such a struggle to get there!

Rachel, your little one sure has gotten big! Didn't you just have her yesterday? LOL

Chelle, Redeeming Love is a great book! I'm glad your book club chose it. Ours for this month is "Secrets" by Kristen Heitzmann. It was highly recommended by one of our members.

Sandy, that does sound like a good topic.

Not much going on here. Today we're staying home. All day. Tomorrow I'll take Josie for her 9 month pictures (she's now almost 10 months!). I want to have them taken in a particular outfit that my be too small...I'll try it on her later today. If that doesn't work, I may put her in my favorite "play" outfit. I'm not too big on dressing her up for pictures. But I do have a cute shirt and denim jumper I could put her in. Ah, decisions decisions!

I'm just around the house today concentrating on laundry... I do need to get out later and get the dry cleaning, get gas, and get a few groceries. But I don't plan on being out of the house more than an hour... hopefully, less.
