Can you believe this? A 22 year old college grad would sell her virginity just to pay off student loans? Check out the story:

I don't know whether to slap this girl into reality or pity her for her lack of respect for herself and her body. Imagine the low-life men who would actually bid on it. And to think she wants a really nice guy, not just the highest bidder. I wonder if some oil rich muslim would kick in $M for it. They only kill their own for losing their virginity.

Aren't there laws in most states against prostitution?

Also, depending on the price she sells herself for she might just become the highest priced lady of the evening in history.

I believe it. Although I'd never do such a thing, I know people do crazy stuff to get out of that debt... it's easy at some places to get a quarter million in debt from five years of school...and grad school would add a ton more. But, to someone who would do this (perhaps her virginity doesn't mean much to her), I can see it being some kind of golden chance in her mind.

I don't understand. If someone steals your identity and gets loans, you are not responsible for those loans. Even if it's your stepfather. Put the stepfather in jail if he did this, clear the debt, and get on with your life, girl.

The Moonlight Bunny Ranch is a legal brothel in Nevada. I am not going to do any web searching to post links to prove it. :P

In Nevada, prostitutes must be registered with the state, pass an FBI background check and receive a police card, submit to weekly health checks for STD's, and work only through a state-licensed brothel. No call girls, no street-walkers are allowed.

I was about to ask something to that effect , but you answered my question. I do know that particular brothel does advertise on the internet (article in Marie Claire, no personal knowledge just to clarify), but I didn't know the legality of just anyone going to sell sex in a brothel, even where it is legal.

But wow she must either be desperate or wants the attention. My husband and i have a quarter of a million in student loan debts put together, but I still don't see myself selling my body. But I think there would be a lot of guys who would go for that since young, nubile virgins are a turn-on to some guys.

She's going to "do the deed" at the brothel her sister works at. Couldn't the owner give her employee status for a day to skirt the legality issues?

wouldn't surprise me...a few years ago i heard about a male prostitute from florida who would spend weekends in new york city from time to time with a wealthy saudi sheikh...all expenses paid and a hefty five grand for his company

I would think that couldn't be done since you have a bunch of red tape to go through to be able to work as a prostitute in the state. It doesn't sound like something that just anybody could waltze in and prostitute themselves. Unless there is a way to expedite all of that.

I'm surprised at this. I'm glad ebay turned her down. I saw a story on the news about a University of Minnesota student who wanted to sell his election vote on ebay as a joke and was arrested.

I doubt it. The brothels are all owned by corporations these days, and Nevada is very strict on their sex-worker laws. Besides, Joe Conforte(founder of the Mustang Ranch) died years ago and he was the only brothel owner I can think of who would even think of trying to skirt state laws like that. If he were alive today, I bet he'd be trying to sell it on pay-per-view.

Well... I don't see how it's much different than medical revirginization now. I guess they do the procedure but don't give certificates. :)
