csl7037 -> Need an encouraging verse... (9/8/2008 12:19:58 PM)

I just happen to be in all the right places today, I feel like a drama-magnet with a couple crazy issues going on at the kids' school. I know both of these separate situations, along with all the normal stuff, is landing squarely on the Principal's desk today. What's a good verse for someone new to a job (it's a Christian school) and feeling bombarded with unhappy people and weird situations? I'd like to leave her a note (probably anonymous); I just feel like she must be having a trying day.

The LORD your God is with you,
he is mighty to save.
He will take great delight in you,
he will quiet you with his love,
he will rejoice over you with singing." Zephaniah 3:17

"I would have lost heart, unless I had believed
That I would see the goodness of the LORD
In the land of the living." Psalm 27:13

My favorite is from Job, it's all the chorus from the song "Blessed be the Name".
quote:

20 At this, Job got up and tore his robe and shaved his head. Then he fell to the ground in worship 21 and said:
"Naked I came from my mother's womb,
and naked I will depart. [c]
The LORD gave and the LORD has taken away;
may the name of the LORD be praised."

The chorus from the song is-
quote:

He gives and takes away
He gives and takes away
My heart will choose to say;
Lord blessed be Your name.

"These things I have spoken unto you, that in me you might have peace. In the world you shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." John 16:33

Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. John 14:27

And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Galatians 6:9
