Hey, I've got a question for you guys that has been bugging me a lot here lately!
Okay, so I know what I find attractive in guys, like: character, a passion to serve God, and I could go on and on![;)][;)] But, what do Godly guys find attractive?

Pretty much the same things. Only perhaps a little softer.

Speaking for myself only (although I'd guess it would be the same for most guys) in addition to the standard character things I seek a certain feminine gentleness. Someone to be a helpmate to me. Someone I fit with and who fits with me.

Does feminine gentleness mean she has to be soft-spoken?(Because, if it does, I'm in trouble...Just Kidding![:D]) So, basically guys want someone who compliments them, right?

Oh no. Soft spoken won't work in my lief too well. I need a woman who has a strong personality else she'd get pushed back into the shadows. And that just wouldn't do.

Yes she should complement* me, as in fills the areas I lack and I fill the areas she lacks. (*I had to look up the correct spelling, I always get the two confused)

Okay, I see from your view point now! I just have a lot of friends who are guys (and one I really like an awful lot) and I was kind of wondering what guys find attractive! And I would never fit into the mold of soft spoken, I speak my mind, sometimes too much!!(Especially when it concerns which Pro-Football team is best, singing, or something I enjoy doing!)

Usually if we are not careful, John_O can slip right in to one of these threads and suddenly he's speaking for all us guys.[:D] I have no problem with that- usually his answers are pretty good too.

What Godly Guys find attractive in Godly Women:
Godly behavior;
a gentle and caring spirit;
healthful practices evidencing care of oneself;
and as you say, [;)][;)].

Thank you OJ410! BUt I have been trying to be less general in my pots. I get beat up a lot on it. So I try to say something such as "Speaking just for me" etc.

Hi,

For me a women needs to respect herself, when I look for a women I ask will she make a good mother? If I say no then I will not think twice, for your kids will learn from you what is right and wrong. Do not do things you would not want your kids to do, Place Christ before all things and love and care for others as Christ said for us to do. If she meets that then I would get to know her better.

Wow, Mark! That was a really good answer!! So, many guys that I have met only go for the girl that is "Hot" and don't care what her convictions or beliefs are. I also strongly agree with you that we women need to work on placing Christ first in our lives, we expect the guy we end up with to be chasing the Lord, but to capture his heart, don't we need to be chasing the Lord as well? I really think we do!

Thanks :), I see it as simple and very important when picking a Wife, a Mother and Yes a Life Long Friend. Ask yourself would I want her to teach your child? Would she be faithful? Will we be able to talk for hrs even up in our 80's and 90's (If we are Blessed to live that long). See I love knowing more about my partner, she should complete me in every way. I should want to help her in any way I can, I should trust her and my Wife and much more. For me there is nothing more then a great Women, I think even the best of Men are Better because of their Wife. I would rather wait for the right one, then meet 1000's of wrong ones.

I was talking with some young women who recently returned from year long mission trips, and after hearing their stories, well, let me tell you.
One of them had gone to the Dominican Republic. While she was there, they ran out of food, so she went without food for a while and let some children have food instead. THAT'S HOT!!!
Another young woman was talking about her experiences in Africa. She worked in a hospital basically as a nurse and her only training was EMT, which turned out to be not that useful. She talked about having malaria 5 different times, but apparently, if you aren't the worst off there, you're still expected to do your job. She was talking about changing patient's IV's and, then turning to change her own IV. She also said that a man came into their hospital and started shooting, hitting a few patients. The security guard jumped him, but she also ran over and KNOCKED THE GUN OUT OF HIS HAND!!! THAT'S HOT!!! She also had a large quantity of other stories that absolutely blew my mind.
I also find it attractive when women are positive-minded and high energy with an unending smile. I find it attractive when a woman isn't afraid to do something a little bit crazy. Similarly to others on this thread, I have been advised to ask myself the question of a woman, "Would I want her to be the mother of my children?"

That is an awesome way to put it! I have the doing something a little bit crazy and an unending smile thing down pat! Now, finding a guy who can put up with my never ending chatter and strong personality may take God a little while!LOL! But, thanks for your post, it was really good! And it's refreshing to know that not all guys are hung up on what a girl looks like on the outside, that some people care about the inside too!

I would say the same things you mentioned you are looking for. She doesn't have to be soft spoken. Complimentary: I am not looking for it but I hope she is a natural at making others feel good. Unigue - cut from her own mold - she stands out from those who stand out when it comes to her heart.

I feel if you look for a Friend a lover and a good Mother you should find it, but if you look for only a woman who is nice on the eyes or is easy. Why should you think she will be any of the 3? I say if you look then you will find, but what are you looking for? If a Women looks for a Man who can have a good time, when she will not find the 3. She will find a drunk and mostly a Liar and not a Man of God, so who are you looking for? Because when you find that person you might not be happy with your pick..
