Actually, I do get a few I forgot about: HSLDA Court Report and the BJUPress Home School Helper. I also used to get an unschooling magazine (can't remember the name-editor Donna Paola?) but I let that one run out too. I eventually dropped each subscriptions because it became clear to me that my family's way of doing school/life would not be purist enough for the writers of either magazine. [&:] If there were ever a home schooling magazine that was really only about the practice of home schooling instead of just this way or that way of home schooling, I might be interested. Kids Discover was the best magazine for children I ever subscribed to, and it was a mainstay of our home school lifestyle throughout the elementary and middle school years. Family Fun would have to be the best magazine subscription for the whole family I received. We put lots of their ideas and projects to use. Other magazines I subscribe to b]for my home school are: The Economist- world events Reason- political Libertarian National Review- political Conservative/Republican Psychology Today- hasn't run out yet, though my student's interest in psychology has (LOL!) Chess Life, Golf Digest- hubby and son Voice of the Martyrs- world missions Charisma- national Christian scene for the charismatic persuasions Enjoying Everyday Life- Christian living Joyce Meyer ministries and various newsletters from Crossworld, Frontiers Mission, Wycliffe Bible Translators, Compassion International, and others. At other times we subscribed to: US News and World Report Time Highlights for Children American Girl Brio Sports Illustrated for Kids Ranger Rick and a different sports magazine for boys from Focus on the Family. There are probably others I have forgotten. [8D]
