quote:
emerging: God can work through very odd vessels and bring about transformation in ways that look out of place to us. What does false teaching, false prophecy, false signs and wonders, physically and violently attacking people in the name of healing, and promoting occult practices and demonic visions have to do with 'looking out of place'? All of these things is what Lakeland was about, and they have nothing to do with following God's word. God doesn't tell us to follow 'odd vessels' and exciting experiences when they so blatantly contradict His word. Matthew 7:15 "Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. 16 By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? 17 Likewise every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. Since Prock credits Bentley's impartation for their new 'revival' and is clearly in league with these things, they are no better than Bentley. There is no way to support Bentley AND support the Bible at the same time. One must make a choice between the two. 2 Thess 2:7 For the secret power of lawlessness is already at work; but the one who now holds it back will continue to do so till he is taken out of the way. 8 And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will overthrow with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendor of his coming. 9 The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with the work of Satan displayed in all kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs and wonders, 10 and in every sort of evil that deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. 11 For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie 12 and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.
