Is there anything new on the market you are just dying to get asap? I am forever collecting gadgets and such...so when I saw the new water faucets that change color according to the temp. of the water I just gotta get one ASAP.

Anyone else know that feeling?

Yeah, when the wireless trolling motors came out and I went on a trip where the fishing guide had one ... when I got home, I bought one for my fishing boat too! [:D]

I've always fantasized about owning a jet pack. In reality, it would only last about 20 seconds from liftoff. You couldn't get all that far, even with a jet pack, in 20 seconds.

well i think there should be more price drops for that touch soon, i thought a newer model was coming out unless this already happened ... for me, i'd have to say cell phone ... it's my camera, mp3 player, internet browser, email checker, contact list, appointment book, modem for laptop, ebook reader, gaming device, and of course phone! mine is kinda falling apart, so i've been scouting out some nice replacements ...

yes, there is it just came out like last week. and the price dropped a hundred bucks. maybe getting one tomorrow.

In the past there were all kinds of things that I just had to have. Here in the past year though, since becoming a born again christian, I don't really want so much.. I've learned to be happy with what I have, but I do need a computer, which I'm getting very soon, hopefully. Other than that, to hit the lottery would be nice, but my chances are better for getting a yacht dropped on my head.

my current pc is a little over a yr old and I was excited when I bought it, but now found it boring and ready to move on to something else.

I get bored easily.

cool ... any updates? my new phone arrived (htc diamond). it took some getting used to but i'm starting to really like it ...

I am happy with my ipod video from 2 years ago, however, I use the Griffin itrip fm transmitter to listen in the car, and for the most part it is okay, but when the budget permits, I think I will upgrade my stereo receiver to one that syncs with the ipod.

My latest tech purchase I'm really pleased with: "iGeek" Earbud Winder, a Real Life Comics branded version of Cableyoyo Pop. I absolutely love it. It fits great on my Insignia Pilot player, and it keeps my headphone cables nice and neat.

As for gadgets I don't have yet. The whole "netbook" phenomenon is pretty appealing to me. Sure, it sounded a lot better when Asus was aiming at $200 with the Eee, but $400 for a ~2lbs computer with a 9" screen is pretty good. I already have a dekstop for gaming, my needs for laptop are light. The only thing keeping me from getting one is that I'm not really out of the house much. God willing, my health will improve and I'll need a laptop for on-the-go.

I subscribe to popular science and they are working on contact lenses with computer chips on them that will do all sort of things.

Hey! In the next 10 years, we are going to witness some awesome technology but I still wish there was something that would fix my underwear without having to adjust it in front of other people. The older I get, the more it(underwear) seems to have a mind of it's own and won't stay put. hehe!

Popular Science covered the underwear shifter three months ago or so... it was just a half-page article. You'd better go back and check up on that... the company could be in bankruptcy and have sold their remaining models.

I've always wanted one of those cars that can fly and burn old gadgets and trash for fuel. Give me one of those instead of a undie-shifter any day.[:D]

That's ok! I figured out the problem. I buy them the right size but the dryer is shrinking them. I think I'll hang em on the outside clothes line to dry in the sun and bet they will be just right. [:)]

I'm currently using the Sony Alpha 700 digital camera. The Alpha 900 with 25.2 megapixels and a full frame sensor is scheduled to come out this month (October). The price even ended up being much less than I feared it would be (only 3k vs. 7-10k).
The are also releasing a new lens to go with it; a 70-400mm F4-5.6.
I think I'm probably more excited about the lens than the camera. My alpha 700 takes beautiful pictures. The step up, though desired, isn't necessary at the immediate moment. A single lens with that sort of range, on the other hand, opens up a whole new world in photography for me.

The most recent purchase was an infrared thermometer. I use it to check the bearings and brakes on the trailer. And I found out that one the brakes isn't working. [8D]
