Standing up for the unborn, protecting the sanctity of marriage, defending our nation and our families from those who wish to destroy us, and letting people keep more of what they earn so that our economy will thrive....

I'd say that's a resounding yes....

Hey Tracy ... I know you have been concerned about Governor Palin's faith. I found an interview from Christianity Today with the person who wrote her biography and here is a small exert:

"Adding Palin to the ticket has helped McCain excite religious conservatives a couple months before Election Day. Did she make her faith and values an issue in her campaign for governor?

Her faith didn't play a big role. It's a very big part of who she is but she's also very private. It's not something she uses as a campaign tool. I don't think she would hold it secret at all if asked about it directly. She would freely speak her mind about it. It would be interesting to see how she responds to that question because it's such an important part of her life.

How does her faith influence her worldview and politics?

It's really central to who she is and how she views the world and her job. One of the things I felt with talking with her is that, unlike with a lot of politicians who are running for office, there's not a sense of political ambition as much as there is a sense of service. I think that' s unique. She comes at her job as a servant."

Here's a link to the interview. The book's title is " How a Hockey Mom Turned Alaska's Political Establishment on Its Ear" by Kaylene Johnson

tracy, Fox News will have an "embedded" reporter traveling with Palin for the next week or so. Hopefully we'll hear something from Palin about her faith and/or God.

So, be patient my friend.

Because if she did then you and a lot of others would accuse her of trading on her faith for votes. It's really amusing that she gets hammered for not talking about her faith from the crowd that wants separation of church and state!!!

For what it is worth, a guest on either Dennis Prager or Rush Limbaugh today (sorry, I forgot which one I was listening to) was present after Palin's election to governor. He said that she thanked everyone for their prayers, and that she could not function without them.

I am not so worried about a leader's faith. What I am concerned about is their integrity and their deeds that flow out of whatever value system they have. That is why I had no problems with Romney's Mormonism. It is obviously wrong, but the values that he would have brought to the Presidency would have been almost identical to a normal Christian (family, life, small government, honesty, etc).

Palin is going to be a fine VP.

Amen! Those who don't get it, either don't want to get it, or have been so brainwashed by the liberal media that they are unable to get it.

Hey Tracy, did you hear McCain's speech tonight? It was Very Promising, He said: BLAH, BLAH, BLAH, BLAH, BLAH, hanoi hilton, BLAH, BLAH, BLAH, BLAH, BLAH, scars, BLAH, BLAH, BLAH,BLAH, BLAH, BLAH, BLAH, jobs, BLAH, BLAH, BLAH.

So, like where exactly was Christ Present? Oh yeah, was that a Greek Orthodox Priest that gave the Invocation? That was it! I guess Christ left with the Priest.

you know even a Democrat like myself would admit that McCain could never ruin our nation any worse than the way Cowboy W has. However, I believe that 4 more years of trickle down economics will wipe out the middle class. If our country has to be subjected to 12 years of Republican dictatorship, we will soon be like the Dominican Republic. Either filthy rich or Dirt poor, no middle class.

*sigh*

Just because you didn't vote for them doesn't make it a dictatorship.

The fact that you can vote for the losing guy proves that democracy is working.

Yay democracy!

Im really dissapointed in your comments lately, tracydolls.
If you listened to McCains speech tonight you will see that he mentioned God 5 times and blessed twice. I counted just for you...lol
Anyone who thinks this team isnt on the side of God needs their head examined. Either that or they have been brainwashed by Obama.
Either way its quite a scary thought.

I knew someone very well with Down's syndrome. Over the years I learned to recognize even the most subtle physical characteristics of the disability. I also noticed that I saw them less and less often.

There is no cure for Down's sydrome. We have not invented some wonderful drug, surgery or therapy to correct their condition. Instead of surgery to help them we give them surgery to rip their arms and legs off, to disembowel them, and to decapitate them. So common is this brutality that it might be called infanticide of the unfit.

Jesus does not have an intelligence test or a good looks test. And neither does Sarah Palin and her husband.

If you do not see Christ in such unselfish love it is because you do not want to. Your political pals have waged open war upon disabled children. That's why families like the Palins are so hated by the left. Christ's love in them exposes their hatred for these children.

Sometimes the inanity of these posts is astounding.

Reagan gave us 8 years of prosperity following economic times much worse than the ones we are in right now. The economy is cyclical, and chances are if there is a modicum of international and domestic tranquility, then the economy will begin to grow and expand. providing we don't tax it to death. You may not like the idea of another Republican adminstration, but anyone who thinks it will turn us into the Dom. Rep. has no sense of history, or reality for that matter.

Well said. I do respect McCain, but 8 years of the same is too much - and to answer a question from another Republican - no, we are not better off than we were 8 years ago.

Peace and God bless,
