Just as long as we are talking sleeping in a tent (as opposed to RV) and cooking your own food over a fire or camp stove because you're beyond reach of the nearest restaurant type of camping.
I've seen people call it camping when they park their RV at the beach. To me that just a long tailgate party!
I also like to frequent those campsites that have the no RV rule as well. Find they are less of a party scene. Just had time for one so far this year in the Sequoias. It rained and snowed on us (it was Memorial Day weekend) but we had fresh caught trout (my wife caught the biggest one) for dinner, IOW, it was awesome!!!
If God wanted people to camp, He wouldn't have invented the Red Roof Inn.[8D]
[:D] My Red Roof is made of Nylon! Room service is when the bear shows up to rumage through some silly person's tent and bang their ice chest against a rock to get at the goodies inside. I don't suggest ordering it! [;)]
I camp throughout the year. Going this weekend, actually. Haven't been since July. And then again in October. Glad to have some cooler weather for it (even if it is supposed to rain).
