Why would McCain choose a VP who is currently under investigation for abuse of power? When I went yesterday to look up the firing of the state trooper, I found this http://edgeofthewest.wordpress.com/2008/08/30/mayberry-machiavelli-watch/ Why did new Mayor Palin fire the police chief and librarian of Wassila? Palin said in letters she wanted a change because she believed the two did not fully support her administration…. Palin refused Friday to detail her complaint … saying only that “You know in your heart when someone is supportive of you.” “Wasilla librarian keeps job,” Sitka Daily Sentinel 2/3/97*

I cannot under any circumstances, support this woman. That's nice, but some specifics as to why would be appreciated...

Here's some stuff on that Bridge to Nowhere lie. And it has a funny picture! http://www.andrewhalcro.com/the_bridge_to_somewhere quote:
The governor's decision was made just 6 weeks after U.S. Senator Ted Stevens Girdwood home was raided by the FBI and rumors were at a fever pitch that an indictment was soon to follow. The reason for sending out the 5am press release was to hit east coast newscycles to gain maximum national attention for the move. The move garnered big news coverage nationwide. According to the Associated Press, when she was running for governor in 2006, Palin said she was insulted by the term "bridge to nowhere," according to Ketchikan Mayor Bob Weinstein, a Democrat, and Mike Elerding, a Republican who was Palin's campaign coordinator in the southeast Alaska city. "People are learning that she pandered to us by saying, I'm for this' ... and then when she found it was politically advantageous for her nationally, abruptly she starts using the very term that she said was insulting," Weinstein said.

Every now and then, a person will show up in a forum at a critical time and post vociferously as an advocate for a political party. Some are volunteers and some are paid. I find it interesting when a person never seems to post in theology or Christian living threads in a Christian forum but sticks to a single topic, the political race. I also find it interesting when a poster doesn't seem to understand what is meant by one 'truly' being a Christian and actually ridicules the concept. Very interesting. quote:
