Brothers and Sisters, I beg of you, please stop sensationalizing this poor young woman's misfortune and devote yourselves to supporting her good decisions with prayer. Hasn't this young woman been thrust into the public enough? Think of it this way, if your daughter was in the same position, would you want this to be continuous drivel, fodder and kindling? Peace, and please, lets focus on the issues at hand.

See, I just don't believe all the hoopla? I think it is a "shotgun"wedding. Why not a month ago? or two months ago? or 3? In my state it takes 5 days to get married.
What job does he have that he can take responsiblilty for his kid?

That doesn't make sense...if he said no, he wouldn't be with 'that family'.
The whole thing makes me think of the line in the movie Alaska where the kid kicks a trash can and ends up having to scrub the floor...and the sheriff says, 'Son, in Alaska, if it happens to you, it's your fault' and the point is that you take responsibility for your actions. It's the community value system. I suspect that's what we are seeing here--a kid who is doing this because he grew up in a community where you did the responsible thing. Not a kid who has been told he'll be blackballed or some such thing if he doesn't marry their daughter. After all, I wouldn't want my kid married to someone that had to be forced, would you? It's just here in the lower 49 that it's ok to knock a girl up and pretend it never happened.

Bristol Palin has decided to go AHEAD and get married.
Released 2 days ago.
Responability would be when he married her before the campaign!

I don't think it's anymore righteous to marry before the campaign in order to look better. What's so great about that? One of the neat things about this family, as opposed to other politicians' families, is that they are real and not all phony PR.
And, having been a pregnant 17 yo, I can tell you, you don't just get married quickly without thinking about things for a while. I was 5.5 months pregnant at our wedding.

Tracy, the bottom line is you don't know anything. You are sitting in a chair in Minneapolis issuing statements about people you don't know and didn't know until a few days ago, and now you are playing the expert as if you have been studying them for years. Proverbs makes it clear that presumption leads to nothing but strife, and that seems to be the signature of your posts lately - strife.

Earthless, the only thing I've seen about that is a picture supposedly of Bristol Palin and an (as yet) unidentified friend holding a liquor bottle, mugging for the camera. I don't believe it's been confirmed to be Bristol. And from what I've heard, the photo originally surfaced at....wait for it....Perez Hilton's website (?!)

well, even if real - how many of us took embarrassing photos when we were children/teens? Somewhere in my mom's many photo albums is a picture of me naked in the bathtub. I hope it never gets out!!
