I don't not believe her,or him. (I just assumed it was a girl maybe because I don't have any brothers?)

Like I wrote, stranger things have happened.

If I wanted to home school a boy in fashion design, I'd buy him a sewing machine and get him lessons with a tailor to start with. Then there'd be the history of clothing through the ages, regular tours of designer stores to see what's new, how pieces are constructed...

ROFLOL! Who am I kidding? If I had a son who wanted to study fashion I would totally freak!!!

I'm sure God would give me the grace to handle whatever child he gave me, but I am sooooooo glad I don't have to work with that one.

he he.

And sadly, as I just said in the public/private school chat...I wish you all well for the school year, but I'm gonna have to leave the thread (don't worry, I'll still be in the folder)...I was trying to keep up with 4 chat threads (homeschool, public/private school, singles, and women's), and it's just too much..I'm gonna just do one, but haven't decided between single's and women's, so anyway, bye to the thread, but I hope you ALL have a wonderful school year, and many blessings on your home schooling plans for the year.

My son is interested in sewing, but not for fashion design. He wants to learn upholstery so he can do fancy car interiors.

Send him over. I've got an '85 Suburban that needs some help.

Did you leave before Brian's accident too? That has been the other (besides baby) big event in our life in that time.

Glad you're back, Debbie! And you're right...you can never leave again.

I must have, wow I did miss a bunch. Did he get hurt bad? Is he doing ok now? I pray so.

There were several times during those 9 months where I *wished* I could forget that I was pregnant (like during the extreme morning sickness phase) ...

I guess I don't think a guy would focus so much of his energies on hating his sister? I dunno, but when you look at all of their posts, it is completely unreasonable.

Yeah, but bench seats would be easier to work on. Much better for a first project.

It can happen though. After being the focus of my brothers energies in the past, I know it can happen.

Donna's husband was in a very serious accident with a farm tractor. He was in the hospital for several weeks and is still in a wheelchair. HERE is a link to her thread about it.

Pretty bad, but it could have been worse. All bone injuries, pretty much broke the whole left side of his body. Spent 20 days in the big hospital in the city and is home now just waiting for bones to heal more before he really starts PT. He'll be out of work at least 6-9 months. People keep telling him he could have gotten a vacation much less painful ways.

Ez - praying traveling mercies for Jerry & for all of you left on the homefront!
quote:

The only thing out there that might not be happy about tropical storm winds is the pop up camper that we cannot put down. Jerry could but he'd have to cut the cables.
I find this really funny because we have a pop up camper that won't pop up right now. The cranking system broke & we just haven't had the money or time to get it fixed!

Praying for misbehaving washing machines (dish & regular)!

Ellie - praying for everyone to start feeling better at your house!

Hi Julie (Mom24)! It's nice to meet you! I'm Amy. I have 2 kiddos, ds is 13 & dd is 10. We currently live in OK, but my dh is military & we've lived all around the country. Ohio is home though!! We're in our 8th year of homeschooling (WOW! Can it really be that long?)

Sarah - Justice is so adorable!!! I have hours of video of me saying "Can you Smile?" and ds just looking at me! It's actually pretty humorous!

Annie - glad Noah slept all night!!!

Awww - we'll miss you, but I totally understand! We all only have so much time & we gotta wean things out sometimes! Glad you'll still put your input in on other threads in the folder!

Well - our 1st day of school went well! We really need to get on a schedule! We all function better when we do!

We are taking the day off... sort of.

Today the kids are learning about load bearing walls and and posts and non load bearing. Timothy is learning how to use an power screw driver. He and dad are now off to get cement blocks. Later we will go shopping.

Caleb and Rebekah are acting a little better this morning. The doctor FINALLY called in a prescription for Sarah. She is so covered with band aids now that she looks like she has been in an accident. We first called them for a new prescription LAST Thursday! She is handling it like a trooper though.

I have so much to do. We are tearing the house apart with projects and we are going to be having company next week that have never been here before. I hope we can at least get it looking nice.

Ellie-mae--pardon me for being daft, but what is going on with Rebeka?

My washer is dead. Dh dug into it last night. He thought it was the "lid closed" switch. Except, it wasn't agitating either. So he dug into it further. He thinks it might be the timing thingy. But, when I was pumping it out yesterday I could hear it clicking through the cycle, just nothing was happening. It is over 20yrs old. I bought my first year out of college. It was the first thing I bought on credit.

AND the kids bathroom is still torn up. Over Labor Day weekend dh was just going to replace the vanity and paint. Except the new vanity is smaller than the old one, so he had to replace the flooring. Upon removing the flooring he discovered the toilet has been leaking. So that required replacing the subflooring. And on and on it goes........... I'm not upset at all about it. He's working on it. And he lost all of last evening due to the washer. The kids are showering in our shower and using the downstairs half bath. So it's not a terrible situation. Just another thing stressing out dh.

Rebekah has a cough and had a low grade fever yesterday.

Caleb has a stuffy nose.

Sarah has ringworm that we are putting ointment on and covering with band-aides. We are about to leave to pickup new prescription for her.

Mom and AS are on vacation.

Fred has decided that he wants to move out and his car breaks down this morning.

We are trying to weather proof as well as do other projects.

We are so busy right now.

I have to fly. see ya later!

Where did Sarah pick up ringworm?! That stuff spreads so easily!

Looks like Hannah has arrived. It was 74* and very humid when I started my run. Half way through the run, it started to rain. We're talking gullywasher rain! I LOVED IT!!! Although, it did slow me down quite a bit. Oh well. I did manage 16miles which I didn't think I could do.

according to my grandma, you can "cure" ringworm with apple cider vinegar and pennies. Soak the pennies in it for a few minutes, then rub that onto the ringworm a few times a day. It always seemed to work on us growing up, so I guess it works.
