Welcome newbies!

I do wonder if the man might have some sort of dementia. To be honest, he looked a lot like my grandfather who passed away last November. I did report it. There is no camera there.

Manda- I don't remember Hazel saying that she was going to take a break either. I didn't ask her when her year would be up. I just happened to see her name on the birthday list and sent her a birthday pm.

Hey you guys thanks! I do love him to death. He is so funny and awesome. But today I did get an e:mail from one of his teachers who said he hasn't handed in one homework assignment yet this year. I can't believe that I am first hearing about this and we did have open house and the teacher didn't say a word and that was just last week.

But we will talk with him in the morning because I know he has been doing his work because we have been checking it. This teacher said he has only handed in two assignments and there are 6 missing. My husband has helped him with at least 6 so we have no clue what he did with them.

But it is fun and we are all learning. He brought videos about Beijing and Friday night is going to be popcorn and moving night and we are going to watch one of his videos. He has also been invited to my daughters BUG party. That stands for Being Unusally Good. Whenever they go above and beyond what is required of them, they get a BUG ticket and if they get 15 by the end of the month, they get to go to the party. But if they don't have them, then they have to stay in the classroom. But one time I was getting ready for the party and my daughter lost most of her tickets due to her excessive talking and so did alot of other kids. So instead of being upset that they couldn't go, it had to be my child that says "well, we are just going to have our own party in here." She could have cared less.

My day has been pretty busy, but it was one of those days where you are constantly running but can't keep up. My house is a mess, I am not sure about my kids because I had an appointment that ran late tonight so I really didn't see them. I ended up eating a sandwich for dinner and I have a sink full of dishes to do, floors to wash, the girls room to organize since I pulled it apart today and didn't have time to put it back together and lots of other things on my list. I don't even think I got my mail today. Sigh..... Oh well, tomorrow is another day.

I was going to skip my bible study so that I could get my work done, but I think the work can wait and I can go to study. I need that time with the wonderful women and God.

Roberta, sorry there weren't any cameras around. I do hope they get the guy.

Tracy, I hope things go well with your student. Something has to be done about him.

That sounds exactly like my brother. When he was in elementary school I used to help him with his homework, and then often times he didn't turn it in. I don't know why.

I totally don't get it. But he is learning that if he doesn't get the grades, he doesn't get to play basketball at school every night.

I have to do my senior thesis on an aspect of a certain creek. The creek runs the length of the city...so I can go whatever part I want/need to. We chose to test at a Park, then go under a bridge to compare both places. (The creek in the park should be purer than under the bridge because after it passes from the park to the bridge, it goes through industrial activity). Our professor tells us that we need to share equipment because the entire class has to share the exact same stuff (not enough of everything for every pair)... but if my partner and I have to fish and do water quality testing at one place that's far away from the others who are testing at another location, how are we supposed to share?

The professors won't reply to my partner's emails (we wanted to see if we could do it today b/c no one else does stuff on the weekends, so we'd have all the equipment), and I still can't figure out how we're supposed to do anything on our own without equipment.

I had a girl like your exchange student, Tracy. She is smart as a whip and loves to read. Her mother (the sister of the school's owner) checked her homework every night but most of the time this girl wouldn't turn it in. She was very bright but just wouldn't follow through.

Well, M got his first time-out on the 2nd day of school. I asked him why and he said, "I didn't want to sit down!" But I think he's going to work very hard to NOT get another one. He hates time-out.

Well, I'm back at school for another week. Still no internet at home. DH finally just went and got a refund Thursday night. {sigh}

Have a nice day, ladies.

We're online at home. And wireless! Whoohoo! (And the same company...long story that DH has yet to tell me.)

Enjoy it while you can! I have mine in my classroom before the girls show up and after school when the maids are done cleaning my room.

Hi Everyone! It's been a little while since I've been on. It's good to hear everyone's doing pretty well......Roberta, glad to hear things are getting better!

Me? I know I've mentioned before that I was in a car accident a few years ago. Well, I still have a lot of issues that I have to deal with almost daily that keep me from signing on a lot. Anyway, I'm having a good day today and I thought I'd check in to see if anyone's online. Then I'm going outside as it's a beautiful day here in the South! I hope everyone has a great day!

I hear ya!! I had to do some errands in town. So I packed up Mary in the stroller and went for a walk. We went to the school to put money into the kids' lunch accounts. Then I stopped at the bank to deposit the money from the restaurant from Saturday. We then stopped at the bakery and I had the yummiest cinnamon roll with peanut butter frosting and coffee. After that we watched the high school band practice street marching and then stopped at the post office. By the end Mary had zonked out and she transitioned from the stroller to her crib beautifully.

Hi everybody!

It was a beautiful day here too, but I spent it running errands and house cleaning so I didn't get to take too much advantage, but I did have a huge pile of dirt in my yard that needed to be spread around the house and fill in some low spots in my yard that I worked on for a while. But Kayla was with me and before I knew it, she was covered head to toe and sliding down the pile. Once she was already dirty, I just let her play and gave her a really long shower.

Good morning, ladies!

I'm home from school today. I woke up with a migraine. It started last night but was pretty mild. I should have taken medicine then but I didn't want to. I knew better than to do that. But this time I was actually sick to my stomach. Not fun. But I got to go with DH to pick up the twins at school. I got to meet their teachers who seem nice. H drew a self-portrait...mostly in bright pink. With sharp teeth. LOL I can't wait to see the painting that M did Sunday. Next week I'm off the whole week but they're only off the last 2 days so I'm looking forward to taking them and picking them up.

I'm watching CNN and hearing about the shooting at the college in Finland. The shooter killed himself but no reports yet of how many others are dead. {sigh}

Well, I'm off to CUOP. Have a nice day, ladies. Roberta, I'm glad you're doing better.

Ouch!!!! I hate migranes. I get them and have not taken medicine for them, but mostly because I am too busy to go to the doc to actually get a prescription. I know they have a couple of meds for that, but again, too lazy to do that. Hope you feel better!
