Lots of people voted for BO because of his skin color. There is no way that people who would normally vote for someone like Mrs. Clinton would stay away from her like the plague if it wasn't for the color of his skin.

I know, it works both ways but in a perfect world it wouldn't. Content of character and all that.

Reasons I won't vote for Obama:
Big government, his stance on abortion - which will make
his choices for the supreme court not lean in the favor of
my moral beliefs, and I just think he is a smooth talker with
absolutley no idea - I just don't trust him or beleive half of
what comes out of his mouth.
When he is in front of a crowd he tells them what they want to hear,
the next day in front of anther crowd he tells them something else.
How many times has he said "my first act as president will be......" then
he fills in the blank to make the group in front of him happy.

Not really... Since he's touted as he going to be the first black president and the leading cause of death amongst black males is other black males odds are such that is who would likely take his life...

The leading cause of death among Black Males BO's age is HEART Disease.

But should'nt this go to the racial thread?

He didn't say black males the same age as Barack. He said "black males", referring to the fact that ethnic cleansing facilities run by the likes of Planned Parenthood are murdering black babies at a rate of 50%... that is 1 out of 2 black babies being destroyed by abortion.

quote:

BlackGenocide.org

The purpose of this website is to reveal the disproportionate number of black babies exterminated by the abortion industry in America.

Although black women constitute only 6% of the population, they comprise 36% of the abortion industry’s clientele. The leading abortion providers have chosen to exploit blacks by locating 94% of their abortuaries in urban neighborhoods with high black populations.

This high rate of abortion has decimated the black family and destroyed black neighborhoods to the detriment of society at large.

So true! Hillary does the same exact thing.

I haven't read the whole thread, but the reason I don't want to vote for Obama, is that his speech is on TV right now, and it is making me barf.

I just saw it and you know what infuriates me. BO is trying to pull the race card on the 45th Anniversary of the "I have a dream" speech. How dare he use that.

Did we watch the same speech? I just watched his accpetance speech and he didn't ever even mention race, directly or indirectly. His brief reference to MLK's speech was as an illustration of responding to bad circumstances with hope not cynicism.

I think the guy is really suffering from a messiah complex.
I think he thinks he's already the president.
The hooplah, the fanfare, the stage and props! Please!
All he needed was gold leaves around his head.

Well heres one sentence that did it.

"I realize that I am not the likeliest candidate for this office. I don't fit the typical pedigree"

Hes said that before and he meant the same thing.

What really disturbed me about the speech is how he ended it.
He said this

Thank you, God bless you, and God bless the United States of America.

Thats the FIRST time hes ever brought up God on his own or ended a speech with that phrase. Talk about speaking to hear urself in an attempt to get a win.
Makes me ill.

I'm not sure how that's the race card. He's saying he's not the conventional candidate. Race can certainly be considered a factor in his unconventional-ness, but I don't see how that's throwing out "the card".

It's not the first time he's brought up God, and while it may be the first time he's used that specific formulation (I haven't checked), I'm not sure what the problem is.

Find it for me. Find me the speech in which he brought up Gods name at the end of his speech.
