Now that the kids are back in school and there are no more teenagers living on my couches, I'm trying to get the place sparkling clean and well organized. Today:

-Laundry (I'm going to the laundromat. Usually I got to my mom's but since I've been looking after another baby full time, I haven't had the time. So Dh and I are going to the laundromat and taking every single piece of laundry that needs to be done...I'm very excited.)

-Library (in the same neighbourhood as laundromat so can go pick up books while clothes are in the dryer!)

-clean Akeelah's room
-clean our bedroom
-clean bathroom
-upload photos to be printed
-contact people at skating to let them know I'm not coming back this year

Today was a pretty hectic day at work, didn't get everything done I'd like to have, but some of that was because I was doing part of someone else's job too as we had five staff members away.

I did manage to get the towels and our sheets washed this evening.

The plan tomorrow is to get J and X to strip their beds in the morning so I can wash their sheets, work all day, hang up J and X's sheets, collect our sheets and towels from line, sort and start washing clothes.

we cleaned cleaned cleaned, moved furniture, cleaned some more, etc this weekend. (you would think we would be done by now, but we aren't yet). We had to rearrange the furniture because we got some stuff at a yard sale the other day!!

today my one and only job is to make a meitai for a friend.

The start of term is wreaking havoc with my cleaning plans!

But here's the plan for today:

* Ironing
* Clean kitchen, do dishes (does this chore ever stop?)
* Tidy the chair o' doom (I've now been trying to do this for a week! )
* Quick bathroom clean
* Quick hoover
* Laundry (towels)

I am really starting to feel pregnant all the sudden these past couple days. You know what I mean? Kind of huge and lethargic? I guess my tummy and hormones have reached critical mass or something. This is not going to help with my motivation. I just hope I can keep it together long enough to finish the house. Just a few more weeks. We got a lot done this weekend.

Today I need to:

- Fold the laundry I did yesterday
- Do more laundry in that neverending battle
- Check the stain levels on the boards for the hardwood floor doorway sills, then put on the first coat of polyurethane if we're happy
- Try to get the menu control on my current project to stabilize with the other controls (yay for multiple third-party integrations)
- Do the usual tidying, though I did some last night so it's not too bad
- Figure out what's for dinner. Maybe gumbo. But that means I need to pull out the crockpot in the near future...

This thread is very good for me. I got up and started the wash. I didn't get to the dishes because grandaughter is fussy and I don't do the carry baby and work thing any more. I'll get more done tomorrow. I have done more reading the last several weeks and learning more about all the great ladies. I feel like each one of you will make a great friend. I need all the friends I can get right nowl Thank you for being you. I promise to put in my 2 cents worth from now on and not just hang around.

Collect clean washing off the line - couldn't, it rained
Wash dh's jeans/work clothes
Wash the linen
Go to the optometrist after work

Vacuum
Empty bins
Clear out litter tray

Extra I hadn't planned -
Put dh's and kids clothes through the dryer for tomorrow

Tomorrow -
Drive dh's car to work (he's taking mine on a road trip because it gets better fuel efficiency - he'll be on the road over 12hrs tomorrow and working as well so could do with some prayers)
Collect clean clothes from airers
Collect clean clothes from the line if they're dry
Vacuum
Clear out litter tray
Mop

Zhi - do you mean just a few more weeks in your pregnancy?

Heh, that'd be nice, but no... I'm due Feb 4. In theory, we only have a few more weeks of driving 90 minutes each way every weekend, crawling around the attic drilling holes and moving insulation, shoving stiff pipe down walls, installing hardwood flooring pieces (just the doorways left now), running electrical wire, calculating pump pressure loads, mudding drywall, etc (and that was just what I did last weekend), and we'll be ready to rent out the house and I won't have to deal with it anymore. I can relax and wait out the remaining ~4 months in relative comfort. hehe

Let's see, today, I need to

- Polyurethane those boards. Really. Spaced it and didn't have any sandpaper anyway. (1 coat of 2 done, 4 hours until the sand and recoat)
- Fold laundry (done)
- Do laundry (it's going. and going. and going)
- Tidy up and vacuum (done)
- Got the controls functional yesterday, but lots of arrangement, sizing, etc to do, then have to actually add the guts of the thing. (time for this!)
- Figure out what's for dinner. Maybe stir fry.

Zhi, how old is your baby in the avatar? Congrats on your pregnancy!

Ok today is Friday, laundry is FINALLY all done. It's nice having EVERYTHING clean for once (oh I can't wait until I have my own machines.)

Today:
-clean mirror in bedroom
-mop floor in bedroom
-get in a workout

I also want to spend a little time in the kitchen if possible:
-bake muffins
-make plaintain chips
-make pasta sauce (a friend from church gave me some lovely tomatoes and herbs from their garden)

Thanks :)

The avatar shows her at 9 months, but she's 19 months now... this baby is due the day after her second birthday. hehe

Okay, today I need to....

- Pack to head up to the house.
- Make sure I don't forget those boards (I did finish them yesterday)
- Tidy up around here for being gone for the weekend
- Fold the laundry I finished yesterday

Once I get up there, I need to:
- Get the flooring ends for the doors fastened in
- Floor over the flooring ends
- Drill more holes and run the tubing from the attic
- Insulate and tack down the pipes in the attic that aren't done yet
- Finish the last circuit in the back
- Get some baseboard repainted and replaced
- Paint the plaster repairs I did last week
- Maybe get up the insulation and wallboard for the shared wall in back (we both have to be done with our stuff to do that hehe, can't lift drywall alone)

    -clean out my purses
-have Akeelah try on her fall clothes to see if I need to exchange anything
