They are really popular with teens, My niece has read them over and over again, I think she told me last weekend that they just came out with book #4.
She is very offended that I won't let my girls read them until I have had a chance to. She thinks I should just take her word for it that they are okay.

I got the free supersaver shipping, which means the books won't be here for a while. I need to re-read something in the mean time. Maybe "How Green Was My Valley"

I've got that and I've read it--twice, I think--but I can't remember anything about it except I think the author is Llewellyn. Sad when you forget the contents of a book--or even the plot or characters.

I loved How Green Was My Valley. It seems to me that there were two sequel books but I could only find the first one and never got to read the last one.

I'm always like that. I had been keeping a reading journal to record what I've read and a sentence or two to trigger my memory as to what it's about. I need to do that again. I picked up a book a few weeks ago to read and, after a couple chapters, realized I'd read it before. But, since I had no recollection of what happened, I went ahead and re-read it.

I have done that with several books.

Anyone here a Wilbur Smith fan? I love his ancient Egyptian series.

Oh, and Instead of "How Green Was My Valley", I picked up "The Princes In The Towerr" By Alison Weir. I can handle reading a non fiction book while also reading fiction, so if I have a time overlap I will be okay. I can not read two fictions at the same time.

I've done that. I like your idea of the book journal. I tried to write a book review on each novel I was reading during my recovery from surgery earlier this summer but I was reading the novels so fast, I gave up on the reviews.

Has anyone read any of Joel C. Rosenberg? He's written five endtimes novels but unlike the Left Behind series, which I thought were poorly written, American-centric, shallow and unrealistic, Roseberg's stories are rich and full. Rosenberg, as a top-level advisor in both American and Israel politics and world affairs, has access to many of the key world leaders and their advisors and assistants, and brings his diverse knowledge and experience to his stories. His non-fiction book explaining the biblical prophecy and political dynamics that feed his stories is well worth reading as well.

I am looking for a series by a christian author that is similar to Outlander.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

It does not have to be a series, but I prefer one.

That link took me to the whiners thread. Was that intentional?

No. Thanks for the heads up.

I think I've fixed it.

However, anyone you clicks on the link in your quote will get the Whiner's thread.

I read the same thing, Kerr, so it must be right. And I must think a lot! Not "must." I do! I do!
