I'm right in the middle of everything right now in my life. I'm 35yo, been married 15yrs, our youngest (of two) is rapidly approaching her teens and I started working full-time again after 9 years at the beginning of this year.

Ryanne, dh and aI tend to lean toward libertarian views too.

I am glad that someone put up this poll. I don't comment much in Women's Only because so much of what is going on does not apply to me. On this thread I am one of two 50+ women. Most of y'all are the same age as my daughter.

So that means we really need your wisdom Car2ner. I was actually thinking only yesterday (before I read this thread) how a lot of the advice given in these threads comes from people our own generation. And, don't get me wrong, there are some very wise ladies here, but a lot of wisdom gets lost when people forget that others have been there, done that and have not only the t-shirt, but have about worn it out.

I'm 28 and married to the best guy in the world. I hope he never figures out that I totally don't deserve him We're expecting a baby boy in December and couldn't be more excited about that.

I'm still holding on to the dream of becoming a stay-at-home-mom, though it seems to be slipping away from me a little more each day. I worked 6 years in a job I despise to put my husband through seminary, and now that he's graduated, he's been unable to find a job... so I just started my 7th year teaching and was reassigned to a new (worse) school and am not very happy about it. I am praying and hoping and praying some more that my husband finds a job before the baby is born so I can stay home. If not, my husband will be a stay-at-home-dad!

I'm 24, married for 2 years (in October - hubby's also 24), and our first baby - a girl - is 2.5 months old! I graduated from University this year with a Bachelor of Science, Nursing and successfully wrote my Registered Nurse exam 8 days before Gwen was born . I hope to someday become a Lactation Consultant.

I'm 25, married to Klay who is 27. We've been married for three years. We just had our first baby...who was not supposed to arrive until October. We love our little man, he's been a challenge and a miracle from the beginning. Took us 10 months to conceive him, that doesnt sound like a long long time, but it required fertility meds since I do not (not discovered until we started TTC) ovulate unless medicated due to PCOS. We finally got him on the way in February, but he decided to make up for lost time and arrived 12 weeks early, he wanted a summer not a fall birthday. This pretty much threw us into a wirldwind as his is in a NICU 2 hours from us. But all is well. Other than Isaac, which right now is our whole world.... I am an insurance agent, hubby is a computer consultant, and I am also mama to a Yorkipoo and two spoiled rotten cats.

I am 25 years old, single and working full-time teaching. I hope one day to be a wife/mother but until then, I consider my students to be my "kids".

When my mom was my age, she had 2 kids. I think about where I am and can't imagine having 2 kids. it's amazing to me how different I am from her, and yet how much I am like her.

I'm glad y'all are enjoying this thread.
I am too.

I realize 21-30 is a big age group. I thought about doing 21-25 and 25-30, but didn't (apparantly).

I just found this thread.

I'm 25, married to my 29 year old perfect husband. I stay home, and we have one little boy who's 8 months old. Hopefully we will have more kids too but if not we're happy with one.

I'm 26, and have been married for 3.5 years to my wonderful husband, who is 28. Dh is a database admin and IT guy for a nonprofit ministry that tracks and reports the financial activity of nonprofits. I am a full-time homemaker/SAHM and loving every minute of it. We have one daughter who just turned 2 years old, and we are expecting our second child mid-October. In the evenings I work part-time from home (4-5 hours a week) as a bookkeeper and office assistant for a missionary in Singapore. I also am a full-time student and do my classwork in the evenings through distance education. I will graduate two days before my due date.... I'm actually hoping to go a little overdue, lol I don't have any plans to use my degree - it's just something I never finished, things got busy with marriage and babies, but I wanted to close that chapter of my life since I only had a few classes left and was tired of worrying about it. I plan on studying to become certified as a childbirth and lactation educator within the next year or two so I can teach a class or two at the local crisis pregnancy center and WIC. It's something I love, and something I can do on the side as my little ones grow and we homeschool. Eventually (many, many years from now - most likely after the kiddies are grown) I plan to transition from educator to lactation consultant.

ETA: I used to post a lot on CW, but don't really have as much time anymore because of the hectic schedule. I do keep up with threads since it's easier and quicker for me to read, but seems to take longer to actually write out a post.

49 years old, will celebrate 25th wedding anniversary in about three weeks, have four kids (one is grown, one about to be grown, one with a couple years of high school left, and one who's in 3rd grade). I'm not sure what I am. I'm a homeschooling SAHM, but then I'm not either since I run a small business. So I leave it up to anyone who cares about the issue to decide what I am, and I just keep truckin'.

I'm 29, single with no kids, but I do have two very spoiled cats. The singleness is bothering me a lot right now with age 30 creeping up quickly, but I don't feel like I'm emotionally in the right place to pursue a change in that status yet (dealing a recently broken heart). Better to take the time to heal and develop a closer relationship with Jesus at this point. I work as a physical therapist in the inpatient (hospital) setting, with a specialty in geriatrics.
