I would prolly get my knickers in a knot if someone changed my quote in some other thread, But since I'm in the Den, I'll just consider it normal.

Yeah, there's no knotting of the knickers in the Den. We just make allowances for some people and their editing of others' posts.

Good Morning, Denizens! I didn't give my vehicle a real name, I just call it L'il Honda when I talk to it.

I am SO glad it's Friday and there's no football practice tonight and probably no homework. It's been a tiring week and I'm not the one who had to go to school and practice.

An upadte on my mother (has an aortic aneurism):

My mother met with the surgeon yesterday and she will be undergoing further tests today to determine if she is can be a candidate for the laparoscopic repair instead of the more invasive surgery. However, it will be some time after Monday before any procedure will be performed. Discussing everything with the surgeon has calmed her considerably.

Thanks for your prayers!

Glad she's less anxious, Jimbo. Will continue to pray that she's a good candidate for the laparoscopic repair.

Morning all.

Good to hear she is a bit more relaxed, Jimbo. That is often the worse part of any illness/disease. Please keep us updated and know that we are praying.

Glad to hear that your mom has been able to calm down, and I will keep prayer for her.

Good to hear. Waiting until after Monday has got to be hard.

A lot of times, doctors discover a developing aneurism five or more years before surgeons are willing to consider the person for repair. Imagine knowing you have one for five to seven years. By comparison, a weekend isn't too bad. (My Mom's was discovered just at the stage they begin to consider the procedure.) It's definely serious but it's a God thing as to the timing.

There's just no way I could live for 5 years like that. I think the weekend would feel like 5 years.

G'day fellow Den dwellers!

I must say, I was quite disappointed when I started getting caught up on my threads today ... I found out that Bluestone won't reply to my posts, as I'm *only* 29!!! (I read the snarkiness thread first)

Anywho, I need to figure out what to do with a bunch of stir crazy kids this afternoon, as we have thunderstorms in the area, so playing at the park is out -- and our mall has a play area, but only for kids 3 and under. I'm also trying to figure out lunch (debating about going to Pizza Hut for the lunch buffet)

Anywho, off to finish getting caught up around here ... bye for now!!!

P.S. I'll still reply to you, Blue!!!

you are all too funny!

maybe Kath can tell us if this is a good idea: Give all teens special avatars so we know they are what they are, and don't take their posts too seriously. I don't want to plow into a 15 year old posting in theology, thinking it is a very trollish adult.

You mean like drivers licenses that have a different colored background for under 21s? I like it!

JF, I'm glad your mom is calmer now that she's talked to the dr. Knowledge is power! (Seems like I heard that somewhere )
