I do miss the avatar themes we used to have. It's kinda a fun.

I thought it was too.

Those Bob threads were fun. I can't remember if we ever did a Bob theme though.

I have to tell y'all something very important!!

The ManCub made the ONLY touchdown his team scored today!!! He ran a kick back for 65 yards and a touchdown! It was AWESOME!!!!

The team he's on only scored one touchdown for the season last year. I'm telling you, that was the BEST football game I have ever seen in my life.

Terri, somewhere in my readings last night, I saw where you told me that you had mango tea. Mango, peach and mint are 3 of my favorite teas.

(Although, I haven't had any tea in quite a while now. No coffee neither. Lately, other than my fruit smoothies in the mornings, the only thing I've been drinking is water. Well, actually, I can't even count the fruit smoothies as something being drunk . . . I eat those with a spoon from a bowl or a mug.)

I used to drink it more when I worked at the coffee shop. All the talk of coffee and tea in the Den made me want a cup. Since we have a plethora of flavors, I thought i'd make some. I had some apple/cinnamon with breakfast this morning.

I need to vent a little bit. I can do that here, right?

It was pouring when we (my ministry partners and I) pulled up in front of the nursing home this afternoon. We sort of thought it would be. This particular home has no overhang, and we had done some planning as far as off-loading our equipment. They have a gate with a ramp in front of the entrance and we were going to just pull as close to it as we could. (There would only be about 4 feet that the equipment would have to be in the rain.)

Well, when we pulled up to the place, the facility van was parked, not in front of the ramp, but just in front of it, close enough that the closest we could get the back of the van was within about 10 feet. So we got a lot more rain on us and everything. Good thing my partners (husband and wife) had thought to bring towels with them (not just for us, but to protect the equipment). Oh, by the way, when one of my partners said something to the staff member that was there on the porch with the residents, she just sort of shrugged and said something about the van had to be there.

When we left, however, no problem; the van wasn't there. As we were loading the trailer, the facility van pulled up behind us, and the driver not only asked if he could help (we were about done), he asked if we needed the gate open, if we needed him to move the van, he just couldn't do enough for us! It was really nice to end on a good note!

It's hard to come up against this kind of aggravation when we do these programs and never ask for anything. But I guess that's persecution for you.

Okay, end vent.

I hated having to load/unload equipment when it rained. I was very glad everything had hard cases.

What do/did y'all sing Pammy?

A pretty nice mix of traditional and southern gospel. We do these programs only for nursing/retirement facilities. We're on our 15th year now. Funny thing is, as many different songs as we could do, it seems the homes we keep going back to, the residents want to hear the same things. Oh, what a blessing they are! We've found that even people who can't seem to relate to anything else can relate to music. It's so great.

Oh, boy, don't get me talking about this!

Thanks, on both.

Yeah, I feel the blessings flowing both ways. Sometimes, it's all that keeps me going.

BTW, you mentioned about also not liking to load in the rain. Did you used to do something along the same line? Sorry if you've mentioned it before and I've forgotten.

Thanks for all the congrats, Everyone. I can't wait to show them to him!

I can't believe I forgot to mention this and ask for prayer.....during the first quarter one of the little boys on ManCub's team broke his arm badly. After taking him to the hospital and getting x-rays, they had to transport him to a bigger, further away hospital 'cause he's gonna need pins, etc. His name is Carter, if y'all would pray for him. Poor little guy.
