Why on earth am I still up? Oh, I know! Because I can!

I'm still up too Pammy. I'm listening to it rain, while enjoying my tea.

I can't hear the rain, although it is raining lightly. Earlier, I heard it was going to rain tomorrow, but I just looked at weather.com, and it just says sunny, with a high of 82*. Yay! I wasn't looking forward to going out in the rain tomorrow. I'm singing tomorrow with my partner, which means unloading equipment, and then re-loading afterward, and there's no overhang at this place we're going to.

I saw somewhere (maybe in this thread, I can't keep track) you were still on the job hunt. How's it been going? How about the sleep problem?

I could probably sleep if I tried, but I just feel like staying up right now. You know, sort of like, golly, this is my play time!

The job hunt has been ineffective. Sleeping is coming a little more naturally, but I still have bad nights. I've been under a lot of stress which doesn't help my sleep pattern at all.

Oh, Terri, I'm so sorry, I know how hard it is to sleep when you're worried. BTDT!

Please don't get upset with me for advising you this way, but try to remember to include in your prayers before you go to bed to ask God to take away your concerns so that you can sleep.

Two years ago when my father was sick, I couldn't sleep, because all I did was worry about him. But it never occurred to me to ask God to help me to sleep. Not at that time. I guess that's why I'm telling you this now. When you're in the situation, sometimes you can't really see it clearly. Does that make any sense?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Okay, on a completely different note . . .
this theme avatar business is fun!
It does make sense. Sometimes that's the only way I can sleep.
I like the avatar theme.
Next theme? There is no other theme in the Den.
Good Morning, Denizens! It's raining here a bit and The ManCub has a real football game this afternoon.
Fortunately, the hs football field has recently been redone and has artificial turf. Unfortunately, while the field and fieldhouse are complete, both the jr high and sr high are STILL torn up and a mess. The cafeterias are being redone and there aren't enough seats for the kids to eat their lunches. But, by golly, the football field is done.
Ooops, mini-rant. Sorry.
No worries. Rant all you want.
And BTW, thank you for the PM's you sent the other day. I needed to get that off my chest.
I've been blessed to start getting caught up with a dear friend that attended high school with me. I'm going to meet up with this friend to do some catching up today.
And I gotta do some homework.
Other than that, I'm gonna be lazy. You?
That sounds like terrific fun, Dude. The catching up part, not the homework part. I hope you have a GREAT time.
I gotta go to work for a little bit, later I have to have The ManCub at the football field an hour before the game. That'll probably run too late for us to go to church. In between, I'll have to launder his practice uniform. AGAIN. Other than that, I hope to get some reading in.
I had hoped to get a picture of the kids in their sports gear (GC is on the tennis team) to use for our Christmas cards this year. Wouldn't you know it, it's been sunny and beautiful for over a month but today it's gloomy and rainy. I'll have to wait for another day.
Lioness, I thought of Cafe Nervosa, so I did a search on it -- take a look at this:
http://www.amazon.com/Cafe-Nervosa-Connoisseurs-Frasier-Crane/dp/0848715500
Pam, I had never seen or heard of that before. I used to watch Frasier a long, long time ago but didn't know what Cafe Nervosa was. I loved Frasier and Niles together, they were a matched set.
Since you don't want it, I decided to get in on the fun, and I made it into an avatar. This is the cover of a cookbook I found on Amazon.
Thing is, I don't drink coffee. I prefer tea, like Cammo. But I loved Frasier! In fact, I have all 11 seasons of the show on DVD.
Frasier was on for 11 seasons??? Wow. I didn't realize I had missed so much. It was a great show.
I'm glad you are getting in on the fun. Your avatar looks great!
That's about the way it works, isn't it? The day you plan for these things doesn't wanna cooperate.
BTW, I went for a drive last night. I had no clue where I was going, but I drove anywhos. I don't know why, but people seemed angry. I pulled into a convenience store parking lot, and it looked like there was gonna be a BIG fight (about 20 people involved), so I left. I prayed for them, but that's the kind of praying that's best done from afar. But that was just one incident. I drove with my windows open and heard arguments from people's yards, people walking on the sidewalk, etc. I have one question. Why are people so angry?
I don't know the answer to that, but I do know the solution. And last night was an eye opener for me.
Hey Den Dwellers ... I'm back. I got nothing accomplished today, except a lot of time wasting. I didn't get the laundry done, but at least I wasn't having to bail my basement. I took my eldest two to my cousin's place for the weekend, and my second youngest is at my friend's for the weekend, so I have Caleb and Joseph (my 3yo) ... but Joseph has apparently developed a stomach bug over the course of the day, as he is feeling pretty horrible right now (and Mommy isn't liking all the extra cleaning she has to do because of the unwell child)
Now, as for the coffee/tea thing ... I like flavoured coffee, but I'm very much a tea girl ... I've been drinking tea since before my first birthday. There is actually a YouTube video written by a British bloke about a good cup of tea. It's called "Cup of Brown Joy"
Anywho, it's after midnight, and I'm exhausted. I'm heading to bed before Joseph wakes up again ... g'night!
I hope your little one feels better this morning and that you both got some decent sleep last night. And that video was a scream!
Oh wow. That's so strange and so sad. I think one of the things anger most often covers for is fear. You're right, we do know the solution.
(((((Kara & the little guy))))) Hope things are better this morning.
I do miss the avatar themes we used to have. It's kinda a fun.
As far as angry people. I hate being angry. I think that's why it takes a lot for me to get angry. I can't imagine being angry all the time like some folks are.
