Friends- Be more honest with me, and be on guard about who you will and will not introduce me to or consider suggesting I go on a date with. I'd like to believe my friends value me enough not to set me up with a loser, but alas it has happened. They are always sorry - but they had to have had some idea before it happened. I don't like the "bros before hos" attitude (and that's a terrible saying, but I'm sure you've heard it). Dates- Don't be fake. Show up on time. Don't tell me all the things you usually do for a date (get a haircut, buy flowers, etc) that you didn't manage to do this time. It makes me feel like I wasn't worth the effort. If you expect me to call you rather than vice versa, give me a hint. Those you've had relationships with- Be honest and communicate. Spouses- NA Siblings- Treat your sister like you would someone you are dating ... open the door, be a gentleman, excuse yourself. It's good practice! And feel free to screen anyone I date! My brothers may be younger, but it makes me feel valued when they are protective of me (within reason of course).
