The various translations of the Bible that we currently use are based on various older manuscripts. Can someone give me a brief overview of these various manuscripts? I am interested in knowing which modern translations are based on which manuscripts and the perceived pros or cons of these same manuscripts.
If there is a WEB site which provides this information that might be simpler.
