Ellie-Mae -> Mac to Windows w/ intel processors (8/12/2008 3:09:44 PM)

My husband left me with his MacBook. I need to do some work on the Windows section of it, but I can't remember how to get there from here.

Does anyone know the "magic" buttons that I have to push when restarting so that the windows comes up??

And then I am going to need instructions for getting back to the mac programs.

Thanks.

It depends on how the computer is configured.

I'm not sure many people are using dual boot (as in either booting in Windows or Mac OS) because programs like Parallels are out now, and are easy to use. Check to see if Parallels is installed.

I don't know anything about parallels. It is whatever it came with new. I know that my husband would shut it down and restart it holding down certain buttons. He showed me but I can't remember which buttons they were. I was hoping to get our homeschool tracker set up while he was away. He is hiking in the middle of nowhere or I would call him.

I assume you've gotten an answer to this by now, but just for the record - You hold down the Option key on the Mac keyboard when booting to get the screen that lets you choose which Operating System you want to start.

yeah, I did get the answer finally.

Thanks for answering though I was beginning to think that no one else had one of these things. Glad to know that we are not alone[:)]
