I live near Sevierville/Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg/Knoxville and we are sure not hurting for opportunities to see Southern Gospel. Three day Gaither Family Fest in May, three day Gatlinburg Gathering in September, Grand Old Gospel Reunion in August, the week long shindig in Pigeon Forge every year (can't think of the name), Greater Vision's big event, a whole month of concerts at Dollyworld in October, semi-annual Gaither Christmas tour in Knoxville, the Mull concert series at New Hope church, the new Florida Boys soon to be regulars at a theater in Sevierville, Kingdom Heirs nine months of the year at Dollywood, and church concerts almost every weekend, all within an hour of my house. Also can go to several events like the Greene's Homecoming, the Inspiration Park events, Chattanooga concerts, etc. with a two hour drive. Four hours takes us to Nashville, most of eastern NC, or Atlanta. And it's not too far to Louisville. We are certainly blessed, if we could be blessed with more free time and money it would be even better. [sm=cooltilt.gif] One of the best things about living here is that we have a powerful 24 hour per day all Southern Gospel FM radio station (WJBZ - Praise 96.3).
