"sheep fries" Years ago a fellow we knew used to eat these and they even sold them in the "normal" grocery store. BTW, they come in pairs and a female sheep would not have them.

I once heard about some place in Europe where the people think maggoty cheese is a delicacy. Since I don't even like cheese very much, I would say this is what I wouldn't eat for $1000.

They have to be done right. I usually don't like them either, but I got them at a kind-of-schwanky french restaurant once and they were excellent.

That nasty clabbered milk with chunks in it they drink in Scotland or some such place. Gross!

Yeah, I'm game... as long as it's not fecal matter and involves raw meat of any kind so that I won't get slimernilla (salmonella).

Me too as long as it's a real food that people actually eat somewhere.

There are many kinds of raw meat that don't have salmonella. There are always dangers with raw meat, but certain types are a lot less risky than others and can be further mitigated by proper preparation and storage. Beef carpaccio is really good, and any tuna that's more than just barely seared on the outside is overcooked. If I could eat a hunk of raw sushi-grade tuna for lunch every day, I would.

Liver

Mrs.X -> RE: If someone gave me $1000, I still wouldn't eat... (8/13/2008 1:07:51 AM)

Rev. Bob, I don't like liver either, but chicken livers are not bad. Have you ever had those? They are a strong flavor and almost taste game-y, but not bad.

I would genuinely think the food must be digested before you receive the prize.

I won't eat anything. I could say that I would, but I know myself better than that. I think any form of animal genitals would be worse.

Tinkerbell_ -> RE: If someone gave me $1000, I still wouldn't eat... (8/13/2008 10:39:16 AM)

You have to just say, "I'll pay you $1,000 to eat this." and not tell me what it is, then I'll eat it.

After I've swallowed tell me and pray I don't hurl it back up. [8D]
