My question is about satan, demons and hell. God said that hell was for satan and his demons, not for mankind. So obviously satan will be thrown into hell. But isn't that a reward for him and his demons to be thrown into hell? It is their home, after all. They will 'enjoy' it there, playing with poor souls there... So to me it doesn't sound too hellish for those demons. It sounds like, Ok you did your job, now go home and never leave for all eternity.

A few quick things...

Satan and the demonic are not in Hell right now.

Satan and the demonic will not be ruling Hell, they will be there as captives, not over-rulers.

Images of Dante's Inferno need to be purged from a biblical worldview.

Heaven is their home, of which they have been cast out of. Hell will not be a home to them, it will be a place of eternal torment. I believe you will be hard-pressed to find anywhere in the Word where it speaks of anything ever being enjoyable in hell. Quite the opposite really.

Hell is God's wrath. It is His torment.

I think the base of this question should actually be the Bible.... so take a gander at Revelation 20-21. That should answer most of the questions about the Lake of Fire as it relates to who will be there.

I think you are really in error with this type of thinking. Satan will be utterly destroyed in hell as will all non-Believers. Satan's thoughts about hell are very evident in the following verse;

(Rev 12:12) Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.

Hell will be nothing to write home about; either by non-believers or by Satan and his demons.

Hell was originally created for the devil and his demons. However, due to Adam's fall some human souls have also ended up there. According to the Bible hell is not satan's final destination. His final destination is the lake of fire into which not only satan but also death and hell are cast there as well. This is according to Revelation 20:14. As to satan having fun in hell this is doubtful. While his demons will be punishing those souls there they will suffer their on torment. That torment will be knowing they can never return to heaven and that in punishing those who reject salvation they still fullfilling the command of God. In fact the only thing satan and his demons can do in hell is to vent their frustrations on those who choose to go there. That is why satan tries so hard to tempt mankind . Imagine how much rage and hatred he has built up inside him, even if every person God created wound up in hell it would not be enough to quell satan's rage or dispair after his total and complete defeat.

Where did you find this information? I do not recall demons being allowed to do anything in the Lake of Fire, hell, etc. except be punished. Please advise.

Roaming to and fro throughout the earth, seeking whom to devour. Another passage to keep in mind is Daniel 10:1-21, where Scripture speaks repeatedly of good and bad angels moving about unseen. And the clincher is the book of Revelation where we see that not until after the great judgment will God send Satan, the demonic and those who died having rejected Jesus to Hell.

Last time I read hell is a place of eternal torment and constant fire...Earthless is right, satan is not presently in hell...but he most definitely will be. And he wants as many people as possible to go with him.

I concur; the "Creed" missed it on that one. The Creed says Jesus dicended into hell; Scripture does not.

Perhaps the "Creed" had a more old-school understanding of the term "hell." I'm not sure.

Regardless, Hell is a place of torment for the demons, not a place for the demons to torment.

And Jesus never went there.

No it is not a reward for him. It's not where they reside. They will not be enjoying it or playing with any souls. I don't mean to sound harsh but were do you get these silly idea's from?

The lake of fire is a place of eternal torment and torture. the devil and his minions will experience something infinitely worse than we can possibly imagine, and there will be no end to it. They will be the subjects of the torture, not the originators.

Are you serious?Have we taken away the power of God's wrath and elevated the l"power' of mere angels?May I ask what lead to you to believe such a thing?

Well sorry for been silly. To tell the truth i don't know where it's coming from ( Dante or old school teachings maybe) but i asked other people and nobody knew the answer.

I'm new born christian for only 6 months and i have silly questions ...
