PIGEON FORGE, TN (Press Release) - Continuing a 60-year legacy that has touched millions through record, television and radio, lead singer Charlie Waller is bringing the Florida Boys to the Smoky Mountain Showplace Theatre in Pigeon Forge, Tenn., six nights a week.

Last time we were there Jeff was supposed to play there and we were going but he got sick. Theater still looks the same from the outside and I don't think they have done must work on the inside. Very small theater. When I called about Jeff they talked as if they were gonna start serving dinner at concerts.

We have not been there since Eddie left. Had many a good meal and concert from Eddie. Miss him and the food they had there.

We went to the Blackshow Breakfast show one time when they were, haven't been back since. This was just after Eddie left or he may still have been there in the evening don't remember (geezer mind).

The people will be here. It is just where their priorities will be as to whether they go to the show or not. Their loss if they do not attend.

Triumphant played there five years.........Blackwoods have been there a long, long time. It will be somewhere to go in the evening for SG music when there is nothing else to do. If they were to offer season passes like the Mandrell/Miracle Theater does it might help a lot. Have not heard the New Flordia Boys yet so I don't really know how we will like them. Know it won't be the same.

I don't think it is. You never know in PF what owns who and who owns what.

If they turn in back into a dinner theater then season passes wouldn't work anyway.

I had heard that a lot of places in PF were suffering from reduced tourism because of gas prices. Is that correct?

I think a lot of people are coming to PF because of the closeness to many areas. May be down some but don't think much.

The local paper reported a month or so ago that unemployment is the highest it's been in decades. I believe it, since I am looking for a job.

You'd think places like Pigeon Forge would suffer less than other tourist areas, since their is so much around to do, and you can ride those trolleys, and save your gas, plus with the closeness, you can almost just walk most places from your hotel. Not up in Sevierville, but in PF proper, I guess you'd say!!!

Joshua was to young for all them old fellows. He probably needed to continue his education and could not do so playing six nights a week.

I had to go the long route to our East office last night (becasue of serious accident) so was on the Parkway and saw their new sign with photo. Hope it works out for them.

Kathy's Mom had unexpected surgery and we could not make it.
hope to catch the show sometime after NQC. Hope the 20th went well.

Judging from the amount of traffic in Pigeon Forge, you sure can't tell that there are any economic problems....it's bumper to bumper my friends.
btw...Mike Clark interviewed Charlie Waller yesterday morning on WJBZ, sounds like things went pretty good for the new Florida Boys debut.

Yep, Mike does do a great job. He has been quiet lately though. He hasn't commented on my blog in while either. We sure do love him in Knoxville though!
